Escape B&B

My wife and I stayed in Room 1 for 2 nights after flying into Port Hardy from a fishing lodge on Baker Island. The home is very close to the Port Hardy airport so a 10-15 drive into Port Hardy. When we were there the home was up for sale as Alfons and his wife are planning to move into town so not sure how much longer it will be a B&B. The whole place was immaculate and our room was very spacious with a comfy queen bed, flat screen TV, large bathroom, closet, easy chair, small fridge, etc. The free wifi worked fine for us. The front door to the house has a cypher lock and you get the combo to get in and out - worked great and easier than a key. You can pick the time you want breakfast, which is served in the common area downstairs which has a kitchen and dining area (the owners live upstairs). The breakfast area had a buffet type set up with cereal, yogurt, fruit, cheeses, etc and then Alfons cooks up crepes, eggs, sausage, etc. There was plenty of food and it was all excellent. There are several places to eat dinner in town and that is about 10-15 minutes away by car. It is also nice and quiet at the B&B since it is out of Port Hardy itself, and very close to the Port Hardy airport if you happen to be using that. We would highly recommend this B&B as long as the current owners are running it.
