Duff's Cottages

It was very fortunate for us that Duffs had a cabin available for us to rent as all the motels were booked. The cabins were rustic and very comfortable. We did not come prepared to stay in a cabin but because they provided so many things, we only needed some bedding and our food. There were laundry machines available for us to use which came in handy. The view when we came home from work was so peaceful. Our cabin overlooked the waterfront which was so calming after a long day. They also had a dock so we were able to have our boat accessible anytime we felt like getting a few hours of fishing in after work. Duffs allowed pets, so my son was able to visit us with our grand-puppy. But what really made things so special was the family running Duffs Cottages..from the moment we arrived they were very welcoming. Unfortunately during our stay there I received the news my mother was not well and I needed to get home. Sadly my mother passed away.The owners did everything they could to be supportive during this terrible time in our life. When we returned they were there to comfort us and for this we will be forever grateful. If ever there was a place to find peace while grieving, Duffs was the place to be. Once the job we were working on was complete, we were sad to have to leave this wonderful place. There is no doubt in our mind that we will be back again, but next time it will be just to relax and take in the beauty around us as well as enjoy the company of the lovely owners.
