Rooms were very clean.  Great kitchen facilities.

The room is super clean. The appliance are new.The bed is comfortable to fall into sleep easily.The staff is friendly.It is not far away from the spotted lake.

This is a great find -affordable and fully equipped for your own cooking. Helpful owner

Nicely renovated and very friendly owner :)

We were surprised and pleased as our unit was amazing! The kitchen has just about everything you need -way above most hotels we have stayed at. Big comfy chair with actual reading light! Very comfy beds and pillows. Totally updated throughout and it showing the attention to detail. One of our best stays ever!!

Our room was perfect in many ways. Yes, it is an older Motel but with the upgrades it didnt feel aged at all. We'd stay here again if it is available.

First time staying @ The Mount View and we enjoyed our stay. Space is great and love that is have a kitchen to help keep eating out costs down. We've already booked our next stay :)

I cannot say enough good things about my stay here. From the moment we arrived the owner John greeted us and was so friendly and kind. Made me feel so welcome. I stayed with my dog Ronin as well and it was so lovely to feel so comfortable and safe on our travels away from home. We had everything we needed and this is the perfect location. So close to all amenities. We will be staying here every time we come to Oliver.

I appreciated the owner/ manager walking us to our room and explaining things. The sheets  smelled fresh and I appreciated the liquid soap dispenser.  Also I left my own pillow in our room and he gave me a call to let me know. We didn’t use the kitchenette but a great price if you are spending some time  in the area.

It’s clearly been renovated, and well! It was a comfortable place to lay our head for the night, and close proximity to food and the wineries around the area. The 1-ply toilet paper kinda sucked, but most hotels are the same way. We thought they were non-smoking rooms, but someone nearby was definitely smoking marijuana as it was coming in through the AC (we figure).

Room was super clean and newly renovated. It even had a kettle and selection of tea which was great as usually hotels cater to coffee drinkers only. The owner was lovely and showed us to our room, he also gave our little girl a pair of sunglasses which was very sweet. We will definitely be back next year!

John, the owner was very friendly and gave me some ideas where to eat dinner and breakfast. He gave me a corner room where I could park my motorcycle outside the door. The room was spotless and is fully furnished with full size stove and fridge. He has put a lot of effort into making it a place where guests enjoy their stay and return. Most definitely will stay here again next time I’m passing through.

Excellent room and price

The entrance, pavement and office are a bit worn and dated, but inside, the rooms are great.  The kitchen is well equipped with full size fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, kuric coffee maker and all the dishes etc that you need.  Nice toiletries.  Nice pull up blinds underneath good blackout drapes.  Good flooring throughout.  I found the pillows and bed very comfortable, my husband was a little warm for a while.  While it was light out a barking dog behind the motel was annoying, but he stopped at dark.  The motel was fully booked but we did not hear any neighbours.  Walking distance the a run down looking Greek and Italian restaurant that served delicious food at reasonable prices.

Recommend a stay here

While the property itself looked simple and basic on the outside, my room was extremely clean, tidy, and welcoming. The room was well equipped / stocked, with a fully functional kitchenette and fridge, plus all the basic cookware and utensils.The office manager / owner was very friendly and helpful, and made sure I was taken care of.Thank you~!

Our stay at Mount View was great. John the proprietor was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. He was also very informative about the town of Oliver and the surrounding area. He made some spot on recommendations of some great wineries to visit. Our room was newly renovated comfortable and quiet. We’ll definitely check in again the next time we’re in Oliver. Steve.

Great Stay

My husband and I spent 2 nights here in August. Our room was meticulously clean, nice bedding, ample kitchen amenities, and air conditioned - just right for Oliver's 30+ temperatures.  A bonus was the little oasis in the courtyard - a cozy place to sit under the vine-shaded trellis, BBQ, or sample the wines we purchased. John was friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again without hesitation. Thanks John!!
