Barb and I love to visit Viamede, 
The staff is supper friendly and helpful. Our Gog Mya loves the grounds and her visit to the Farm. Even tho the Pigs scare her.
Great Dog friendly resort which we will always be on our getaway list.

Friendliest resort that makes you feel like family from the moment you walk in the front door. Absolutely stunning scenery overlooking Ston(e)y lake. 

Hiking, swimming, sauna, kayaking, games and an amazing outdoor stone fireplace.

The staff were also incredible! Always so helpful and went above and beyond.

We were here for the Golden Rescue picnic… Check in was hassle free and a breeze. The Hilltop room was spacious with a cozy feel, clean and beds were comfortable. Coffee on the deck off our room in the morning was a lovely added bonus. The food at the dining room was spectacular and the views were breathtaking from every seat. Breakfast on the patio in the morning was also another glorious treat! Walking the grounds, beaches and  trails was truly serene.
Thank you to the staff who were friendly and very accommodating, they went above and beyond.

Viamede is the perfect place for a family vacation.  We were there with a 5 yr old and and a 2 yr old and six adults.  There was so much for them and us to do - guided walks, visiting the pigs and turkeys, canoeing, swimming in the indoor/outdoor pool. The staff is so accommodating and friendly.  There were "vintage" board games, craft and movie time for the kids, trivia for the adults.  It just seemed that there were so many "little things" that were part of the experience - like ice cream served every afternoon.  Since there were too many people to fit into one cottage, we had to split up.  The three bedroom cottage was lovely, just a couple of steps to a playground, a few more to the beach and a 1 minute walk to the pool.  Two of us stayed in a hotel room in the main building.  I will say that it was a bit dated but we were only there to sleep anyway - we spent the whole day just having fun.  We did have a bathtub with jets so that was just one more thing to amuse the little ones. Price wise, I would say that with all the extra amenities, it was well worth it.   I would go back in a heartbeat.

Went here with a few girlfriends for a little getaway.. we loved it. The room was clean, the staff were all excellent, the food was amazing..the activities were fun (tubing!) and the hiking was just so beautiful! The nightly campfires and s'mores were a great touch. I got everything off my bucket list except for the fishing - 6am was too early for me on vacation :)
A personal thank you to Ben who took time out of his busy day to come and help myself and my friend..we were stranded on a local residents dock and couldnt make our way back to the resort. So again, thank you!! They really go above and beyond at this resort. We will definitely be back.

We were looking for a place to unplug and soak in nature with our entire family (fur babies) and we found it with Viamede!  We stayed in a newly renovated, two bedroom cabin and was impressed by the space and comfort it provided us!  

The (free) breakfast was filling and had plenty of options - not just a continental breakfast!  The planned activities were just what our 9 yo daughter needed!  Spaced out throughout the day, allowing us to explore the grounds, but also keeping us busy!  The board game & DVD library we’re a great hit too!!

Nature trails are amazing!  The farm was near closing, but we visited the pigs every day and the Guinea hens.  The property itself is beautiful and you can see how much more fun you could have in a bit warmer weather (fire pits, water activities, pool!).  

We appreciated the fenced in dog park to allow our boys to run & play off leash!  They were tired from the trails, but this space gave them a bit more fun!  

Overall, a great trip!  We will definitely be back (maybe in a warmer month).  Thank you, Viamede!!!!

Overall an unbelievable experience for our family with 3 kids 5-9 years old. The cottage was brand new, spacious, had all the utensils / supplies you need. Screened in porch with outdoor sofas was amazing at bug hour / in the rain. The activities for kids never stopped. Arts and crafts , movie night , pizza making. The counsellors were responsible and friendly. 
Best of all were all the included amenities: tubing, you can take out a fishing boat on your own , water trampoline, beach, climber , kayaks. The owner Ben was super friendly and would even take you on a boat tour if requested! 
Some of the grounds/ main building  do need some upkeep like people said.  The building is over 100 years old so it’s understandable. If you expect a luxury hotel you may be disappointed , though the cottage itself was luxurious and brand new, super clean. 
Pool was cold I’m told but we didn’t go in. Indoor pool was awesome on a rainy day. 
The food at the boathouse was delicious 
All  staff were super friendly , especially the manager Nicky. 
We went mid week and it was super quiet even though it was almost at capacity.  On Saturday it was a bit busier but still not crowded , lots of kayaks and canoes still available. Didn’t feel like you were at a crowded resort at all. Good idea to bring your own beach chairs and umbrellas-  there is little shade on the beach  
Fire pits were set up with wood every night. Included breakfast was fantastic and tasty. 
It felt very laid back, cottagey/ rustic (outside only). There are still a few unrenovated cottages so call in advance.  
Overall, the value for the price (we paid $750 / night all in for 3 bedroom cabin) can’t be beat. Same price or less than Deerhurst which is packed and offers way less amenity or peace and quiet . 
If you want kids to have fun ( and the staff entertain them for you for a couple hours so adults can relax and enjoy too) this is your place. 
Already booked for next year 

This our third year at Viamede and it never disappoints us. The team at Viamede is so welcoming and accommodating it's a pleasure dealing with them all! We go there as it's pet friendly and that it is they are made welcome is most areas which is awesome! We stay on the Mount Julian side and it so cozy with great views. When we checked out we booked for next year our 4th!!!

I went to Viamede for some much needed solo reflection and renewal. I rented a studio cottage mid week. Viamede was exactly what the doctor ordered. Beautiful, quiet, with lots of gorgeous outdoor space to journal, do yoga and craft. The staff were incredible and very accommodating of my dietary restrictions.  Photo is from the front deck of my cottage. Just magic.

Magnificent location and property. Excellent, friendly staff. Superb food. Very relaxing place. Charming and rustic. Lovely lake and lots of fishing. Will be back for sure. Great spa with pool, steam bath, sauna and exercise room. Everything you need to relax.

What a great place for families

So much fun!

Just what we needed

We stayed for 4 nights in August, we really loved the place! It's very family friendly, they have kids activities most days which allows parents to have some time to relax. 
My daughter loved the beach/play structure and the outdoor pool. There are kayaks and paddleboards available on the beach anytime you wanted to use them.
We stayed in a hotel room which was big enough for the 3 of us. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had an awesome balcony overlooking the lake.
Breakfast is included which was a big bonus and it's buffet style so you can eat as much as you want!
The food in the Boathouse was good and we loved sitting on the deck overlooking the lake in the evening for dinner.
Even when a corporate group was hosted during our stay it didn't make the place feel busy or crowded and it's so relaxing and chilled out.
There is no cable TV available, there are DVD's available but we just used our firestick in the room.
This place just misses 5 out of 5 as there are areas here or there that require some TLC but this did not affect our stay in a negative way.
