Travelled through Gaspésie and spent two nights at Manoir Hamilton. It is a beautiful inn with all its original furniture. It is very clean and lovingly kept. The owner had a lot of fascinating history to share as well as recommendations. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Delicious hot breakfast made to order.

We stayed at Manoir Hamilton two evenings during the month of August 2020 while exploring this gorgeous part of Quebec.  The owner is exceptionally friendly and she created a beautiful experience for us (couple).  Our room was well-stated with antiques taking us back to the 1800's.  These amazing touches were everywhere as the home is full of antiques; all well-preserved.  The B&B is across from the René Levesque museum and a 15 minute walk to an incredible beach.  There are a host of activities to enjoy in this beautiful section of Quebec.

I absolutely loved my stay here in July 2018. I love old buildings or homes. This was a real treat. My room was huge and very clean. I thought it would be too hot to sleep at night because I'm so used to air condition. But it was good for sleeping. The yard is set up nicely for sitting out front on the swing or at a table. I stayed 3 nights and tried to spend another night but they were booked. I hope I get the chance to stay here again. The ladies were such kind and sweet people. Thank you so much for service!

We booked the Manoir on line.  When we arrived, we did not realize it was such an old, historic site on the English side of the Gaspezie.  The building is made of stone with cedar siding which is quite weathered.  The front door has an ancient lock and key.  Upon entering we met the delightful owner who showed us around and told us the history of this important building.  It had once been a museum and when she bought it, the house had been closed by the original descendants intact.  It was sold with all personal possessions and memorabilia.  It could be a site for a study of local history.  On the ground floor is the dining room, sitting room, and a salon for guest parties, music recitals, etc.  

Parking is in the gravel driveway.  The Manoir is not handicap accessible (if that is a concern).  Several restaurants are within walking distance.  The town is interesting with many historical markers. 

Our guest room was on the second floor and was quite amazing.  Chuck full of antiques, we slept on an old four-poster double bed.  The linens and extras in the room gave it a bright and crisp feeling. Visitors should be aware that they share a bathroom which is very close (robes are provided).  

We slept well and in the morning, we were given a choice of breakfast entrees prepared especially by the proprietress.  The food was delicious.  We hated to leave such a charming host   She told us we could stay and own it for a mere $350,000.  This is a perfect spot for travelers who want something out of the ordinary.

Nicole received us with a tour of the manor which is wonderfully restored.

During our tour of Gaspesie region we spent 2 nights in Manor Hamilton. I wished we would have staid more! Lovely place with decor that brings you back in time when the manor was at its best! Hosts Nicole and Marc-Andre are very charming and caring with their guests. They adviced on great restaurants around and booked places for us. The breakfast are served in magnificent sale a manger, makes you feel really special:) 
The manor is well placed in the center or New Carlisle village, easy to go around and not far from the beach!

We were tired and looking for a place to stay. Saw the sign and stopped. We were getting out of our vehicle when the Owner Nicole met us and WELCOMED us. We were only going to spend one (1) night but with such friendly service and history of this building we stayed two nights. Such beauty, history, and charming hostess/Owner. The grounds were well maintained and breakfast a true delight. I would recommend staying here to anyone that likes to live life to the fullest. Thank-you for the tour of your Manson and such a peek into the history of this part of Canada.
