Good Stay Place Neat and Clean Very much spacious Rooms, Near to the park so very much Convenience and Staff was also friendly. They have a fire pit and a Barbeque which we can enjoy outdoor and nice place to enjoy for children also.

We had a great weekend at this motel. Very clean, fully stocked full kitchen and kitchenette rooms were perfect. Beds were comfy and rooms were huge! Owners were very accommodating and helpful. Can’t beat the price. It’s not fancy but it’s perfectly adequate for the price. Would recommend.

After reading reviews I wasn't sure if this was going to be a good stay but it was one of the only places left in Huntsville for the week before Thanksgiving/beautiful colors in Algonquin & there was no mention of bugs which is my biggest fear when travelling.   Typical older motel, privately owned - nothing thrilling, clean & seems to be well maintained huge room with couch, table/2 chairs, tv, double beds at the other end - sink/large counter separate from the toilet/shower. Negative things said about the bedding not being changed - no problem, clean.  We got there later in the evening & check-in was smooth - clean & ready for us.  Towels are kind of small.   Coffee - 1 pkg wasn't replenished for 2nd day but I had brought my own coffee & filters & made my own 2nd day.- better wjat was there.  Complaint the restaurant wasn't open a lot of the time - it wasn't open when we were there - so much to eat 5 minutes away, I can understand why they don't bother to have it open - most small motels don't bother anymore because there just isn't any money hoping someone will come in to eat - the motel is on the road to Arrowhead Provincial Park so there isn't really any traffic that would just stop in.    The one thing they could do is have breakfast included which a lot of the small motels do. It just adds to the small motel feel.   The main highway is behind the motel there is some road noise but not excessive or really noticeable.   Overall, I would stay there again if we were ever in the area.  

This motel experience was very good. When you are choosing a hotel/motel in this price range the results can be questionable. We are very happy with the cleanliness of the entire room. The bathroom is modern and clean, the beds are clean and comfortable. The inn is just down the road from Arrowhead Provincial park but also close to Huntsville and it’s amenities. We highly recommend this inn and will return next time we are in the area!

The room with kitchenette we stayed in provided everything we needed. The carpets were new and the bed and pillows were excellent. Towels excellent quality.  It was -18 outside, so the room was cold at first, but once it warmed up, it stayed warm.  While the location very convenient to Arrowhead park, Huntsville and the highway, it is very quiet.  Even soundproofing between rooms was fine - which is what older buildings offer.  Definitely recommended for anyone interested in spending time doing outdoor sports and keeping to themselves.

Well I really liked the cleanness of the hotel, I would have given Exceptional but they have only given one soap and no shampoo for 4 people where it was charged for additional people. Otherwise very good and clean hotel.

Convenient hotel right outside the provincial park. Clean, lots of room, quiet, great location for exploring the park, near town if needed.

A budget friendly and Excellent Place to stay

There was no-one in the office (motel across the street) when we arrived and fortunately the couple who help with maintenance happened to be there, to check us off on their list and provide a key.  We struggled to get the door open and later the one maintenance individual showed me how to giggle the handle.  
The room was reasonably clean, and the beds comfortable.  The carpet  was worn and ripped in places, there was a small hole in the bathroom wall door handle level and a junction box with no face plate, it was on the floor.  There was a mini fridge, microwave and a coffee maker but no coffee cups.  The air conditioner worked.  
During the night I heard on odd sound and got up in the morning to discover that some creatures  had taken hunks of paper towel presumably for nesting material.

It is really too bad that the motel and the one across the road have been allowed to decay.  The location is great, close to Huntsville and to Arrowhead park.

Okay place to stay, but do not recommend if other options exist

Spent the day afternoon at Arrowhead Provincial Park and just wanted something close by. Staff was pleasant. The carpet had a huge stain  in the middle of the room. The furniture was outdated from the 1980s but still functional. The double beds were on a metal frame that looked and sounded like a filing cabinet. One of the double sinks outside of the bathroom didn't have water. The shower was warm though. It would have been nice if I didn't have to call three times to get a towel and if they provide more than one pod for the coffee maker.  There may have been mold/dirt in the corners but I am not sure. It did the trick but I wouldn't spend $89 plus tax again for the kitchenette -- if your rooms are going to be sub-standard at least charge accordingly ($49/night seems fair)

Over priced for the quality of room

DO NOT BOOK HERE! We booked a room but got covid so we called to cancel 4 days prior to the reservation but the person couldn't find the reservation and assured us that we had nothing to worry about and would not be charged. After the weekend had passed, our card was charged for the full stay, despite never going and we called back to ask for our deserved refund. They again assured him it would be done but not only did we not get a refund, we were charged an additional day. After calling on a weekly basis for the next 3 months, checking the statement and still seeing no refunds. Finally, we called and explained how this was criminal, to charge someone who never went and called to cancel with plenty of notice and threatened legal action. The owners admitted that we had not been there and they eventually agreed to pay it back in full and asked to allow 3 days for processing. After 3 days we found that we were only refunded for half of the amount and when asked for the remaining half, they declined and stated that they had his signature for a 4th day, a day that we hadn't even booked originally and clearly weren't there to sign anything. We're still going to fight for the remaining refund but have to warn anyone to not book or stay here, they are well aware of the scam they are pulling and are fine with taking people's money, knowing they didn't stay there at all and called to cancel. Buyer beware, they also own the Tulip Inn across the street and I can only imagine they pull the same scam on people. Please note, we did not stay but the original reservation was in August so that's why I put it on there. My Father had stayed there many years ago but it has since changed ownership and judging by the other reviews and our own experience, it has gone downhill dramatically.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERE AND TULIP INN!

If you love your Family and Friends, you will keep them away from this Hotel. Had to pay for the night, BUT we had to stay at another Hotel. That is how awful this place is!! Black mold in many spots in room. Wallpaper peeling off the walls. Floor is rotted in spots. Everything is filthy dirty!! Windows are so dirty, can’t see out of them. They must pay other people to do their Reviews, because anyone in their right mind, wouldn’t stay at this Hotel. You have been WARNED!!!!

Beware!! Stay away from this Motel!!

Motel is an absolute dump. Don’t let the pictures on-line fool you. Wallpaper peeling off all over the room with black mould behind it. Black mould on the ceiling. Air conditioner full of cobwebs, floor so rotten you bounce on it and filthy windows. Decor is decades old. Smelled musty. To top it all off, they charged $293 and would not give a refund once we had seen the room. Ended up taking the loss and going to another place for the night

Run a mile.

Before the motel was sold it was a very nice motel.  But it is very rundown now and not kept up. We stayed here Aug 2022.  It was not clean, it smelled bad, the carpet was so stained and soiled I was afraid to take my shoes off. The fridge is rusted pit and smelled as well
 There are signs everywhere that it is pet friendly, but the person who checked us in said he was "feared" of dogs  and if the dog touched anything in the room it would have to be thrown in the garbage. 
We chose this motel because of its close proximity to the park, but we would NOT recommend it.  There are much better motels less than 5 minutes away.
This motel gets a minus F.
Very disappointed

Terrible motel

Filthy dump that cost us CAD$125 - that's before even paying taxes! The 1960s-era bed springs are in tatters - you'll have the worst sleep of your life at Arrowhead. The previous guests will do you no favours by smoking in the bedroom - your bedroom (don't they know motels are private property to be respected!). No amount of scent balls/plug-in stench eaters will offset the cigarette smoke stench aftermath that is lingering in your nostrils. Take a look at the incredible lack of cleaning in the photo of the air conditioner filter I've posted - it is charcoal black! Yes, this is the air that you'll be breathing! Also, you'll have to go across the road to return the key since they run two motels from one desk at the Tulip Inn across the road. This place was an unbelievably expensive disappointment.

Filthy Disappointment!

The room was a good size but very outdated, bare bones, furniture very old and dirty. 
The towels were not clean. The blankets were thin with rips in them. Coffee machine had a bit of water and rest was mold in the water compartment like no one was cleaning this machine for good two weeks.  We have booked for two nights, left after one night.
The only positive was the fact that it was close to Arrowhead Provincial Park but you have to drive to the park anyway.

Stay away from this place

Arrived around 5:30 pm to find the main office in darkness.  Used an intercom system and advised check-in at the Tulip Inn motel across the street.  Checked in, then advised pipes frozen, so no running water in rooms.  Fortunately owners got pipes thawed in a couple of hours.  Floors were not clean with a variety of food particles from previous customers evident...chips, peanuts, chocolate, etc.  Stains on the couch armrest, bodily fluid stains on the pillow cases, long black hairs on bedding and in bathtub, table needed cleaning, rusted out lamp hanging over the sitting area, dirty fridge.  Huge stains on the windows and window sills, couch very old and worn and looked like a massive dust collector. Short on hand towels and facecloths so had to request more. Cheap plastic bags, which easily ripped, were provided for garbage.  No housekeeping service was available (i.e. garbage removal),  had to request more garbage bags and an outdoor garbage can was overflowing with garbage.  Requested ice 2 nights in a row, and owner said none available, but had an ice maker in the office and said he would turn it on.  Told to return in half an hour.  Called back later, ice not ready.  Same thing the next night. There was a very old extension chord which looked like a fire hazard which the bedside lamp was plugged into.  This place use to be reasonably priced and clean, and owners were slowly renovating the rooms in an effort to upgrade.  Now it's cheap, neglected and dirty. Guests beware. It's a shame because the location is great if you are visiting Arrowhead Park.
