I'm sorry I'd like to write a few positive words but I'm unable to! First of all the mattresses would be to change both, no air conditioning, dirty floor, no dry hair, air conditioner with light that makes noise and you hear cars and motorcycles passing on Route 169.

Room #17

Final night of 5 day bike trip around Lac St Jean. Location is excellent, right off bike trail and on the lake. Room was clean, well stocked with towels and had great shower. Breakfast provided as “snack pack” in fridge (COVID 19). Coffee maker provided with Colombian ground coffee. No fresh milk, just powdered.

At back of room, doors lead to patio, with table and 4 chairs, overlooking lake.
Wood available for fire beside beach
Lake Water was clean and great way to cool off post cycle.
No restaurant/ bar service available but menus provided for take out service from 2 local restaurants. Adequate.
We did stop on way in at the SAQ co-op to buy beer/ wine for dinner but could have ordered with food. In retrospect, it may have been preferable to buy food for dinner there also but there was no way of reheating in motel.

Great location, clean

Great friendly welcome! clean room with a beautiful view of Lake WoW. The terrain invites you to relax! Really cool! I'll be back without hesitation:) I confirm that sunsets are breathtaking. For cyclists, it's straight ahead so it's an advantage to leave without having to take the car. You'll be happy staying 👍

There are many  pets hair at the floor ( I have allergies with the pet) even there are animals hair on the tv remote control 
There is a sofa at the corner I can’t even touch it

The bed sheets are clean it the cover is very dirty and old 
I love the view . You can see the Lac perfectly but the room is dirty 
There are no phone in the room 
There are some very old dirty menu

The final night of my solo cycle trip was booked  by Equinox into the Motel Lac St. Jean located between Chambord and Desbiens right on the shore of the lake and directly accessible from the Veloroute des Bluets. As other reviewers have noted, the location is beautiful with the rooms looking out over the lake. I got in around 1 pm, was able to get into my room right away and bring my bike inside. The manager was very helpful, offered me a Smile Cookie and lent me a kettle so that I could boil water for my tea. He also gave me a breakfast box since, with the COVID-19 precautions, this would be my only interaction with him during my stay (barring an emergency).  In the fridge in my room was a bottle of orange juice, an apple and a bottle of water. On the table were a coffee maker, toaster, paper plates and cups, three slices of fresh bread along with packets of butter, jams, and peanut butter. The breakfast box included yogurt, blueberries, granola, a large muffin and cheese. I should also note that the room was very clean, quiet and had a TV and internet. This was one of my favourite overnight stops during my five day cycle around Lac St. Jean.

Cycling during pandemic

Our accommodation was quiet and offered a very beautiful view of Lake St. John... but we rarely saw a reception so quickly dispatched.

Ashtrays are installed outside near the windows doors of the rooms, so all customers who smoke can smoke freely to the detriment of other customers...the smell that enters the rooms is rather unpleasant.... management does not want to intervene and it even encourages customers to smoke in this place by leaving ashtrays behind.... a return to the 1990s on tobacco management!!

Cigarette tolerated by management:

A nice place to stay quietly a few kilometers from the main attractions around Lake St. Jean. A motel like in the movies... Large comfortable, chichi-free room overlooking the back on a common terrace facing the lake. It's a shame that the spaces are not more intimate. Despite all the quietness prevails in these hot July days. Direct access to the beach is convenient. There is also a small ponton and a lit brasero with benches around where everyone can find themselves chatting and admiring and warming up.

Quiet by the lake

Hotel with ghostly staff that you can only see has arrived for cash but then completely absent!Situated on the side of the road.The noise is unbearable but it would be enough to position a separation between the entrance door and the room to reduce noise and improve thermal insulation but you can see that profitability without any investment is the main concern of the manager!Two negative points to determine the palms of mediocrity this night establishment:---the room was not made the day after the first and the zero point note for the floor or for two minutes we have no staff to re-provide a third so the lifts had to be seen from the corn flakes...The hygienist in the lake believed that John had made the view to make everything beautiful.........

It is apocalyptic.

Excellent motel, Patrice's reception is the most friendly, inexhaustible on fishing and hunting! The room overlooks directly on the lake, beautiful. For about 80 cad / night you will also have a breakfast.
