The room was nice and clean, I like how it had a kitchen so we were able to cook ourselves instead of local fast food. Clean beds and good customer service. The location is very close to the main road. Price was great as well.

We were very happy with our stay.  Our room (#11) was very clean and had a kitchenette with stove, fridge, microwave and enough cooking and dining utensils to prepare meals...a surprising bonus.  If you are seeking an economical, safe night's sleep, book here.  If you are looking for high-end, modern decor, you will not find it here.

Booked this hotel on the way through from Edmonton to Victoria.  Just an overnight stay, but we were impressed!  The room for two adults was in their new section and it was so comfortable.  I was travelling with my son, so booked two beds...not only did I get two beds, I also received two rooms and a full kitchen.  It was clean, comfortable and more than we could expect.  It was a it late so we asked for a dinner recommendation, which was immediately forthcoming from the gracious and welcoming host.  Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience.  Our only regret was were we in transit, so couldn't really appreciate the amenities of this great room.  Next time, we would stay longer!

We stayed at this motel on a cross country road trip. It is located near the center of Merritt and offers a nice view of the hills. Our room included a kitchenette, with fridge, stove, and microwave and full-sized coffee maker. The bathroom had adequate towels and lots of hot water. There are plug-ins for laptops and cell phones. This motel is recommended for cost conscious travelers.

Room was clean and adequate. Had fridge and A/C.  Enjoyed sitting outside using table and chairs.  Owner was friendly and upgraded our room. Convenient to highway and close to town!! Excellent pizza restaurant 5 mins away!

Average Road Side Motel

We just stayed there (Feb28/29)
Nothing fancy, decent.
The good:
-Room was clean
-Relatively Soundproof considering how. Lose you are to the road

The bad:

-Tv has two remotes and was not set to be able to watch without me spending 15 minutes pushing buttons.I then went to the office and asked the attendant to come see if he could get it to work. He speaks minimal English, so after another 15 of him trying and me trying to communicate, I gave up and said I’d figure it out myself.
Eventually I managed to get just ONE Channel to work.
-The toilet kept running if I didn’t wiggle the handle the right way
-the bathroom is really small, the door just barely clears the toilet so you almost have to climb into the shower and then close the door



You get what you pay for

This small motel was very pleasant.  It’s in the older part of Merritt. Nothing special but we were welcomed and the place was clean and tidy. However, but a bit dated.  Would stay again. There is a whole other side to Merritt we discovered on our way out of town the next morning on Hwy#5

Small but not bad!

It was comfortable and I feel this is a motel that looks after out of town workers. The owners are friendly and would recommend washing dishes before using. It served our purpose for an overnight stay.

Comfortable Motel

$135 at this place will get you peeling paint, black fingerprint smears on light switch plate, hair in the bathtub, holes in the wall, a broken fridge handle, stained bathmat, miniature ice cube tray, bedside table and lamp in the "closet," a strong deodorizer and a freeloading spider. Stay on the highway.

Small, dark, dirty, disappointing, damaged and overpriced

Worst stay ever. The room had bed bugs. Lots of them and the owner said I brought the bedbugs in. They took no responsibility and did not clean the rooms. The front desk person was in pjs and were not professional at all. They spoke minimal English so it was hard to understand what she was saying. If you have kids do not bring them here. No human being should stay at this hotel. I swear if they don’t take care of the bed bugs someone soon can call BC Hotel Associations and this horrible place will be shut down and pay a fine. Is it to worth to have a professional bed bug killer to come vs a fine? For $20 more I can stay at a much nicer 4 star hotel near by. Also accusing the customer of bringing in the bed bugs? That’s just not right.
