Quiet, clean and cozy with space for 4 people to move around in comfort.Could have used a kettle to make tea.This was our second visit would stay again!

It is a motel and that is what I expected

Very comfortable place very central and very nice people who own and work there

We gad a lovely stay in Louisebourg NS. Room spacious, close to eateries, convenience store and sea.

We were there for only one night but the staff was super friendly and very hospitable! The hotel is old but rooms were well kept and clean. The adult kids had a great time playing pool with the locals!!

Good location, very clean room, comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. I recommend.

We booked this place as it was the only place available for the night we needed to stay. We were a bit nervous as there was a lot of negative reviews, despite it being outdated it was spotless & had everything we needed. Staff, locals and the whole atmosphere was A . The lounge was great, we will most likely be back next time we’re in the area.

Couple next to us fought both nights we stayed we could hear them clear as day while they had their argument inside and outside their unit. Room was fairly clean and exactly what we needed for our short stay. While the room claimed to be non smoking, it is clear it was smoked in with the nicotine dripping from the bathroom ceiling.

Staff are very friendly. I visited in the shoulder season, so a lot of things are closed but I got to do what I wanted. I will have to come back during high season to catch the things I missed….. the cleaning staff could use a bottle of spray Javex around the corner if the shower…. It didn’t bother me because I clean my own house and I know it’s caused from dampness and this summer has been nothing but damp 😊

So this is an old school older motel.    You park in front of your room.   The room is clean but basic.    No USB, limited plugs.  No kettle or coffee, but a fridge and microwave.    You can hear between units (walking) but rooms are comfortable.    Connivence  store across the street.   Not many places for dinner.   Breakfast was good, staff were friendly.   Given the options in Louisbourg was a good place to spend the night.

Customer service was great, we had a late check-in and we recieved a call to ask when we planned to arrive and to tell us what time the front desk closed for check-in and the proceedure if we arrived later then that time. Every day we were there we were asked if there was anyting we need. Very friendly Staff. Room was clean and quiet.when traveling we try to stay in and support local and when traveling all that is needed is a clean room with a comfortable bed as we are only there to get a good night sleep which we got here.

Great, affordable place to stay!

Really enjoyed our visit to Louisbourg!! And our accommodations were great for that price point. Room was clean and spacious. We were early so breakfast was not provided and restaurant not open. No coffeemaker but staff gave us a kettle and we had instant. We stayed in room 32 and bathroom door gave us a bit of grief. Only a quick drive to Sidney for sightseeing. Overall very happy with staff and accomadations

Nice place to visit

The Fortress Inn Louisbourg is nothing fancy, but it is worth the little money it costs to stay considering its quick drive into Sydney. Floors creek, taps are reversed, but that's really all the negative I can say about my stay, other than there was no Coffee machine, fridge or microwave. That was not a big problem for a one night stay. The overall unit was clean, bed was firm but clean, heat worked well and AC as well worked.

The water pressure was insane at this motel ( it was really, really good ). My travelmates and I all agreed it was worth staying for the money paid. The rooms are a bit outdated and the Wifi is a bit weak but you get what you pay for in a Motel. I would stay here again 100% specially if I had a microwave and fridge.

Not many choices of places to stay in Louisbourg, but this was just what we needed.
