Basic budget hotel.  Older facility, meaning the furniture and fixtures are older and the chairs didn't match.  One can see that regular repairs and maintenance are done to patch things and keep them in working order.  Manager is very friendly and lives on site.  Exceptionally quiet.  It felt more like a camping experience as opposed to the mid range modern hotels I usually frequent.  Was very glad for the small in window A/C unit.  It was 30 C outside but the room was kept at a comfortable temp. 

Met my needs.  No frills but clean!

A well kept old motel run by a diligent and friendly family.  Immaculately clean. My wife liked it too even though she is sometimes hard to please. (I am trying to get to minimum of 200 characters!!!!

Worth the Price

We stayed here based on the positive reviews and were very disappointed. 
The rooms was hideous and dirty.
Wifi was sketchy.

Based on other motels we visited on our trip this was very overpriced and unacceptable.

The Melsask Motel is run by an incredibly friendly Korean family.  We were warmly greeted upon arrival, shown to our rooms, given tips on places to eat and things to do in Melville and the morning we departed we were given homemade blueberry muffins.    The room pricing was also excellent - just $60.  But there's always a catch and with the Melsask it is very outdated rooms.  They are clean but could use a serious update whether it be the carpets, bathroom floor tiles and even the window air conditioner.  I guess you do get what you pay for.  Plenty of parking right outside your room and it is a short walk into town where there are a couple of restaurants. The WiFi is free and fast and there's a decent selection of stations on the TV.

5* pricing and servicing/3* rooms

Awesome place to stay, the best service anywhere for sure. Nice clean, comfortable bed, nice clean bathroom. The price is fantastic, and the lovely landlady cooked me supper for after work.
She's a great cook. Whenever I'm in the Melville area I'll look forward to coming back.

Believe the hype!

I stayed at the Melsask Motel during the Men's Provincial Curling Tankard this year.  My room was clean and neat, and Jennifer and her husband were so welcoming and accomodating! Jennifer even brought over a plate of fresh fruit when she knew I was having some company over between curling games! I would definitely stay here again.

Great personal service!

We stayed for a night during a tournament. As other reviews stated, the owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was only $60 for a queen bed or $65 for 2 double beds. The furniture is dated but clean so it's like visiting your grandma's house. Beds were comfy & shower had good water pressure. Good place to stay on a budget!

Cheap, clean, comfy

After staying in hundreds of motels while travelling during ten summers this motel is one of the best we've ever stayed in. It was exceptionally clean and I would highly recomend it. The couple running it are very kind and helpful. We were treated like family.

A great experience

Need a place to lay our heads. Spent two nights. Friendly, comfortable, clean. Offer to carry in our bags and call the local restaurant so we could have late supper.  Hugs and waves goodbye on leaving.

Another trip to Melville so we can stay there again

Have never had this kind of hospitality anywhere. The best people to have look after your stay in Melville. The management caters to your every need that they possibly can. Beds are comfortable, rooms are nice. Has a real family atmosphere.
