I can't recommend the Service at the lodge highly enough.  From my first email inquiry sherri wasn't incredibly friendly and responsive helping us plan a canoe trip on western Spanish river.  From beautiful camping right at lake edge, shuttle service and parking everything was perfect.  Ten out of ten.

A great fishing lodge with amazing views on a beautiful lake.  The owners ,Sherri and Nathan, and staff (Mindy) were very friendly in all encounters and helpful with any requests we had.  Our cabin, #14 was in a great location on the property, had recent renovations to make it more comfortable and appealing and offered a great view of the lake.  The hosts have done a lot of work/upgrades on this property since taking it over and have more plans for future renovations/improvements as well.  

Our second time around at Agnew just finished and we (3 families staying in the big house) loved it even more the second time! Our combined 6 kids get a chance to unplug and enjoy the simple life...and so do we! Could not recommend the place more highly, and Nathan, Shari and Naz are the perfect hosts. Looking forward to growing with Agnew for years to come.

I will be back , first of all our cabin was spotless, I loved the rustic decor, it was so well maintained, and the view out the front door was lake and nature with a beautiful sunrise in the morning. Our time was so peaceful, nestled in the heart of the northern pines , and seemingly so far from civilization, definitely a gem , it was nice to be on a lake that wasn't so heavily fished , and the owners, which I understand are new are favourites among the people who have called this place their second home

Our family rented a cottage for a week looking to get away and enjoy a peaceful week by the water and recharge. Agnew Lake Lodge did not disappoint. The cottage was perfectly fine, had everything you would need to be comfortable, and was in good shape. Jan and Elly were super great in accommodating us, let our kids feed a couple carrots to the donkeys, and were always available to answer any questions we had. The lake is beautiful, the scenery even better. Fishing was fantastic. We succeeding in relaxing and recharging, and booked our next week long stay before we left. Looking forward to returning in 2021.

We had a fantastic family vacation at this place!  The owners/staff are extremely friendly and helpful, our cabin was very clean with a well-stocked kitchen, we had ample outdoor seating around the large fire pit, the boats were in great shape, and the fishing was fine. Being so early in the summer and with the water being so cold, the water trampoline wasn’t set up yet. When I asked about it, they promptly set it up for my daughter to use. We used a fishing boat and a pontoon boat. Both were well-equipped and clean. The dock area and fish cleaning station was clean. There was a playground, horseshoe pit, volleyball net, seating by the docks, and a paddle boat and canoe available for free use. We caught smallmouth bass, walleye, and northern pike. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous. The other guests are quiet and considerate as well. I’m not a primitive camper type, but my husband is. This was the perfect compromise. It has all the modern amenities, and it’s secluded, but not too far from town. 

Amazing fishing trip!  I love this place.  Great fishing, great wilderness, Canadian hospitality.  Cant ask for more!  We loved everything about this trip.  The owners went out of their way to make sure out trip was perfect.  We will certainly return next year!

We just got back today, Aug 15, from Agnew Lake after a 5 day canoe trip.  The lodge rented us a canoe and the lady at the desk gave us maps of the area and some tips about where to go.  We had to (wanted to :P) run out for beer yesterday and they gave us our van key back without so much as a request for any cash -  after 4 days out there and not paying a dime yet for the canoe, ice, and ice creams we got there.  I'm writing this review because I so appreciate the trust they gave us.  It's a hard thing to give out these days and it meant alot to us. I believe they even gave us a deal on our canoe as we came back a bit early today and left late the first day.  I want to thank Agnew Lake Lodge for a great experience with them, great service and an all around amazing camping trip to Blueberry Island...and beyond!  Thanks!  Dee and John Kaufman.

Can not imagine going to another place after several times here. The cottages are great with everything provided except food and towels. The scenery is fantastic and such a quiet and relaxing place. Just to get away from the city or even a town this is certainly the place to be. The owners and their sons are so accommodating and pleasant. It is just a great place to spend time away.


My friends and I rented two cabins for the beginning of the season in 2017. We had two one bedroom cabins and two boats. The boats were the right size for the lake, and the motors started on every try. The cabins were comfortable and fully equipped. We brought our own small BBQ to use as I am comfortable with how it heats. The fishing was sketchy for us but we typically expect that on our first trip into a new lake. We did find a couple of hot spots where we picked up some nice Walleye and Pike so we came home with enough fish for our annual fish fry. There were a lot of people coming in every day with fish, so we knew all we had to do was figure out how to catch them :)
The hosts were very friendly and we met a lot of nice people during our time there.
Definitely booking again for next season !
