Vancouver Island Eles Escape is an escape indeed, from regular B&B fare and from any cares of the world, and a wonderful perch from which to enjoy Nanaimo and the southern/eastern Island.  Convenient to transportation routes, but nestled in a peaceful enclave, the hosts have thought of everything to make your stay pampered and personal.  From the beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and spotless accommodations to the gourmet breakfasts (which lasted us well into lunch hour), no detail was neglected for our comfort and enjoyment.  Indeed our only qualm was that, since we were visiting local family, our daily itineraries were probably a disappointment to our hosts with their ample suggestions for adventure and enjoyment in the area.  However, they knew to steer us to just the right beach for the kids to find sand dollars, and other family-friendly activities as well.  Fluffy sheep dog "kisses" were optional and treasured.  We will certainly return to Eles Escape.

Give yourself an incredible gift and book right now! This B and B is the best ever! We arrived to chocolates on the bed, flowers, tapas, a beautiful room with soft robes, a comfy lounge to ourselves,a happy yard, a book full of ideas and specific directions to the best places, rain jackets if we needed them, and super hosts. The breakfasts were just amazing( chocolate crepes with fresh fruit for one...) beach hikes nearby to work them off, fun wineries and tea tasting places, kayaking, ferry trips to magical islands, shopping, and best of all, sheepdog kisses anytime we needed them. What a gift!

Coming Home

If you are planning a trip to Vancouver Island, I definitely recommend staying here!  The host, Barbara, is not only a genuinely lovely person, she's also a font of all knowledge about the area and is brimming with suggestions, advice and ideas about things to do and places to see!  Not to mention she makes the most gorgeously delicious breakfasts!!  From all the attention to detail, like the welcome canapes, and little chocolates in shells, to the great company, we had a lovely experience here, and the love, care and thought that has gone into this very charming B&B is second to none.  Barbara goes the extra mile to ensure her guests are well catered for, and she totally spoiled us rotten - a rare host!  Her and her husband Jack, and two gorgeous sheepdogs, are very good company and made us feel very welcome in their home.  Truly felt like a luxury home from home!

They announced that they are moving soon, so I don't want to talk too much about particulars of the house we stayed in, but rest assured, if you see their business name, you will be in for a beyond top quality stay!  But for the record, we got pretty much full use of a whole area of the top floor of the house, (except the kitchen) so not just confined to a room.  The bedroom itself, as well as the rest of the house, is beautifully presented and decorated, and well stocked with a fridge stocked with beverages, tv, DVDs, WiFi access, a folder full to the brim with loads of information and plenty space. 

Lantzville itself is a great little escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, with a local pub and lovely bistro and beautiful beach. So if you're looking for a quiet place to relax and unwind after your days of adventuring around the island, eat great food, and maybe meet some new friends, this is the place for you!  A truly unforgettable stay and absolute pleasure.

An absolute pleasure!

We stayed for 5 nights at Eles B & B and had a wonderful stay. Barbara the host served us with exquisite breakfasts during our stay. We would rate her breakfast as 5 Star. 
She has a wealth of knowledge during our conversations. The rooms were very comfy with beautiful chocolates and flowers to greet us after our tours
She gave  us pretty ideas of places to visit on a daily basis. We entered as guests and leave as friends. This is the best Airbnb that we have stayed so far. 
Barbara, it was a memorable stay.( Not forgetting Elle and the new addition Miss. Cooper. Beautiful sheep dogs Thank you very much. We hope to see you in June 2017

Amazing Host

We stayed at Eles the night of our wedding in early August, we arranged to show up after our reception was finished so we didn't arrive until midnight. We entered the house to find a delicious snack and some champagne on the counter waiting for us. So lovely! The bed was so comfy, breakfast was scrumptious, and we just loved Ele, the sheep dog at the house. Thanks so much for everything Barb and Jack!
