We loved our stay here in their newly renovated room. Faux wood tile floor, a/c, great bed, new satellite TV, great location within walking distance to downtown. Ultramar gas bar & convenience store for coffee. In-room dining table for 2. Security deposit was refunded on checkout. We were here to discover the gem of Kawartha Lakes.

We booked 1 night here for the Lindsay Dog show and needed a 1 night stay that was close to the venue and this motel popped up.  With the mixed reviews, we thought to give it a try.  It was quite nice and the extremely nice man at the counter was super accommodating and helpful.  He didn't mind at all we had a dog travelling with us as he was very well-behaved anyways.  Everything was clean, etc and we had a good night's sleep.  The only thing interesting was it was right where the Ultramar gas bar was.  Ha ha ha...but it  didn't deter us and we would stay again!

Budget Conscious Motel

Pleasantly Surprised and neat as a pin!

Room was okay.  Bed was fairly comfortable.  Wifi was once again weak. Kept cutting out.  Was a fairly nice place to stay on the way through for getting to a meeting the next morning.  May stay there again.

The Good - Fast, friendly service; clean sheets and towels; and very inexpensive. 

The Bad - thin walls, noisy location. But it’s a roadside motel so we expected as much. 

The Ugly - this is the filthiest, most uncared for room I’ve seen. It looks like the carpet, baseboards and walls have never been cleaned. Numerous holes in the walls, mouldy shower, etc. Disgusting but this is the worst I’ve ever stayed at so I have a new story to tell.

One of the worse places to check into, upon arriving 2 men outside having a yelling match, then our room wasn't ready after reserving 2 weeks prior, then given a double room which one room had no bathroom, mirrors, AC, or towel racks, to be given another after I complained about no AC girls said lack of help to get rooms ready, so stayed in another room once it was ready and guess what?? NO HOT WATER!! Don't be fooled, not the place you would bring your kids or your mother or even your DOG!! We left got my money back and went to another motel Called Fenelon Inn which was lovely just down the street!!! 705-887-9000 is there number and close to everything!!

Don't be fooled!

I read the reviews which seemed cheep and cheerful.  The staffing is awesome! The rooms were not suitable.  Unfortunately we choose not to stay,  but the staff were kind and refunded our booking charge. They were really good people but the rooms were not adequate.
