Thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at the New Rockland.  Scott was friendly and accommodating and his restaurant suggestions were excellent.  We loved the location as we were able to walk everywhere in Bobcaygeon that we wished to visit.
We will definitely stay here again!

Right from the start we were greeted by Scott—very welcoming, knowledgeable of the area and helpful, friendly and chatty. He really does enjoy his guests.
My husband and I stayed in room #9. You had to be careful not to bang your shins when you stepped into the room but, the king size bed was very comfortable. Maybe add an extra pillow, or two? The room, and washroom were really clean and the large shower was lovely. There was a coffee maker with cups and glasses, a fridge (great to bring back a few local brews), and microwave. There was a bit of a television situation in our room but, hopefully that has been solved.
It is an older motel that has been very nicely renovated, with a nice view of the canal and boats. Close to everything in Bobcaygeon so you can walk everywhere. A must is Bigley’s. Also, a good starting point for other towns of interest in the area.
Would definitely stay here again.

Our rooms were very clean and Scott was very friendly and helpful.  Great location...within walking distance (a couple of blocks) to various restaurants, grocery stores, Tim Hortons, LCBO, beer store and shopping.  We were traveling on motorcycles and Scott supplied us with towels/rags to clean the bikes.  We sat outside on the picnic tables and were able to listen to the music in the park on Thursday night.  Great stay...will definitely be returning!

We had stayed here many times before COVID and enjoyed it. It now has new owners. We were very happy with the staff, and the friendly way you are treated. They are very helpful. A good place to stay. There is good parking and they are real close to the main street. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. You can not go wrong!

We stayed here a few years ago and we loved it then, and we still love it now!  Nelini takes such good care of everything!!  Beautiful rooms, comfortable bed, very modern and cozy.  It’s our fav place to stay when we come to Bobcaygeon.
It’s in the perfect location. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Such a beautiful area. ❤️

What a gem! My son and I were in Bobcaygeon for a fishing trip at the end of October 2020 and we booked the New Rockland Motel. Nalini, the owner, was kind and a pleasure to deal with. The best was the cleanliness of the room - it was immaculate. Also, it was within short walking distance of restaurants and stores.
For fishing it was perfect as we could moor our boat at the lock right across the street - normally it is $10 per night but because the lock was closed it was free! The access to the public boat launch and Pidgeon Lake was a real bonus.
You won't be disappointed.

My wife and I were able to get last minute reservations for 2 days last week. We are always somewhat suspicious of motels but this one proved to be a very pleasant surprise.  Extremely clean!  Wonderful host(Nalini)! Good value. Perfect location near the lock.
Will definitely be back!

Great motel and location in Bobcaygeon! With COVID19, was nervous about booking anywhere or at any motel/hotel especially during this time. After reading such great reviews on not only how clean, well kept the rooms and property were, plus how proper protocol was definitely in place and enforced, we decided to go for it. Glad we did. Our room was great!! Newly renovated with nice decor and spotless.  The owner, Nalini is extremely pleasant and re assured us that if we needed any extra of anything not to hesitate to let her know. Highly recommend this motel and will be back.

Great little motel in the perfect location (right in town and next to the locks). Spotlessly clean room with lovely modern decor. Nalini the owner was the kind of person one hopes to experience — friendly and professional voice when we made the reservation; on site and caring about her guests while we were there; and obviously pride if ownership in how she manages her motel. Bobcaygeon is fortunate to have a Nalini and a New Rockland Motel to further enhance the town being a great destination.  We felt privileged that this kind of authentic experience is possible.

Thank you Nalini for making our weekend special.  My mom and Aunt enjoyed themselves a lot. 
They thought your service was wonderful and so did we.

The best: Scott, the manager, was very welcoming, polite and helpful. He even provided us with a kettle as we are tea fanatics.
The motel location is great:across the canal and lock 32, central and within walking distance to the entire city.
Our room, 12, was spotless.
The so, so: the pillows were kind of lumpy.
The seriously problematic: the air conditioning was very noisy and didn't provide sufficient cooling.

We were looking for a motel for the night near the locks. This motel was perfect. Two minute walk to the locks to meet friends in a houseboat. Short walk downtown for everything you needed. Room was a pleasant surprise. Very clean and recently updated. Nice decor and complete with kitchenette.  Great night

Great night in Bobcaygeon at New Rockland Motel

The staff are so welcoming. They are attentive to your every need. Our room was very clean and inviting. No telephone. But then again we all have cell phones these days. The people we met there were all repeat customers. And also very friendly. It’s right across from the locks. So your view is awesome with the boats passing by. Everything we needed was in walking distance. Grocery, restaurants, bars and the whole Main Street are just steps away. Lots of parkland around and great ice cream parlours
