Fantastic
57 reviewsWe thoroughly enjoyed a 3-night stay at this charming B&B. Formerly owned by someone in the antiques industry, the building is full of classic pieces and fixtures that really add to the charm. With only 5 rooms, it's a quiet yet very spacious location, with a huge back yard with various spots to lounge with a drink, a pool which we used each afternoon, and ample free parking on-site. There was also a mini-fridge in the common area outside our room, which was very handy. The large common living room on the main floor was a nice place to hang out at night to read or chat. Breakfast was delicious, fresh and more than adequate featuring fresh croissants, fruit salad, fruit smoothies, yogurt, cereal and a unique (and beautifully-presented) hot option each morning including eggs, fresh ham, etc. Upon them learning of my strawberry allergy on our first morning, we never saw another strawberry throughout our stay (apologies to the other guests!). The location is a short walk from restaurants, cafes and the St. Lawrence river (be sure to take in a sunset or two!). There are other towns nearby which have restaurant options as well, which is good because the hours of some Kamouraska restaurants are not always consistent (check Google Maps for their hours). The Pizzeria in Notre-Dame-du-Portage was fantastic (~25min drive), right on the shore of the St. Lawrence (make a reservation!). There are a couple places in nearby Saint-Pascal, and also a liquor store (SAQ) and grocery store (Maxi). Marie-Pier and Patrick, who live in the house next door with their adorable kids (Merci pour la fleur, Victor!), were charming and friendly hosts. I'm not sure when we'll be back in that region again, but I know exactly where we'd stay. Thanks so much for a memorable visit!
