Staff excellent, great value for the money. 
Will stay again.  Didn't understand past reviews.  What did they expect?  I choose a non smoking room excellent felt and looked like a hotel room but priced as a motel.

I was travelling thru and needed a place to stay. I went in to Prairie Haven Motel, I knew i wasnt staying in a hotel so did not expect all thr frills. What i did get was suprising great service, clean room,  good sleep and did not pay arm and leg. I will make Prairie Haven my home away from Home.  also the food in their restaurant was home made good food. very impressed for older motel. also i was lucky to get a room they have been selling out for past 4 months.  Good Job to staff and Owners to provide  good rooms at good rates.

After a late drive stopped in to this place, looked quaint and quiet.  Friendly staff, room extremely clean, very smokey smell but clean sheets and clean room.  Had a great recharge and hot breakfast included hit the spot.  Slow but friendly and wod stay again.

Decent stay

Road trip to the yukon

I've stayed in low budget motels because I'm not picky for a bargain if the place is clean and decent. This place was like out of a horror film. The room was falling apart. Could see light coming through the edge of door (not sealed). the cupboards were off or falling off. The bathroom was unclean. The lamps were so visibly dirty. The pillows were an inch thick. Could feel the springs in the bed. Horrible sleep and left as early as possible - slept head to toe in hoodies, pants and socks with our own pillows.

Traumatizing place to stay

Arrived in town at 2:30 in the morning and tried to find a hotel. Went online to check this place was quoted $69.00 a night. Sign outside of building stated "Rooms $69.00 for a night" ....went to check in and she said the room was $99.00 plus tax and fees. was not impressed...told her that all their advertising quoted $69.00 a night but she wouldn't budge. Did not stay here as the condition of the rooms and place did not warrant the hike in cost for the room.

Not the place to stay

Filthy, no air conditioning even though they advertise it.  The staff live on the premises and allow their children to run wild from 1 am to 5 a.m.  I approached the night manager lady at 130 am to ask her to quiet the noise in the room above,  she couldn't care less,  nothing was done about it.  DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Worst place ever!

Where to start..
Carpets are totally disgusting like they have never been cleaned so dont remove your shoes. Cold room and turning the heat up doesnt help. Went to have a bath and the plug was broken. Burn holes in the comforter. Water was cold so no having a bath. Weather stripping let in a nice cold draft. The place needs fresh paint new carpets and proper care basically a total refit. Total dive avoid it. I left with half of my money returned after 3 hour stay.

the carpets are filthy burn holes from cigarettes no heat just a real scummy place Would not recommend to anyone the sign out front advertising rooms for 69$ is a lie it was 95 $ plus tax which was 107$ the room was smell carpets are stained beds are uncomfortable needs updating bad
