Large, well-equipped, clean and well-maintained common areas. Nice atmosphere, in compliance with Covid-related hygiene standards. The hostel is located right in front of the IGA, which is very convenient when you want to use the hostel kitchen. Small negative point, the common room is close to the rooms which can interfere with the noise level, as well as the proximity of the highway and the train. Intimacy is also limited in the rooms (not around bed curtains for example). A very nice stay overall, in a friendly and friendly atmosphere!

Very good stay.

Excellent stay! Room was clean, spacious and warm, with comfortable beds. Very large kitchen and lounge space to meet people, play cards, cook up a meal, or sit by the fire. Great big space to socialise and meet people. The kitchen is fully stocked with stoves, ovens, instapot, blenders, coffee press, everything you need - and two supermarkets close by too. You can store your winter gear away to dry and the staff are very helpful with giving you a tour, making sure you have everything you need and very kind and welcoming. Would definitely come and stay again!

We really enjoyed the vibe at this hostel. The staff was very friendly and made us feel at home right away. We had free use of the kitchen area and coffe and tea is always available and on the housen.excellent place to stay when in Golden.

Cosy stay

My husband and I stayed one night as we were on our way to Banff. We booked a private room, which came with an ensuite bathroom. All of the facilities were very clean, and the staff friendly and helpful. We appreciated that we could use the freezer and fridge to store our perishables. We would highly recommend the "Dreamcatcher Hostel"

Great place to stay!

I think the word cozy was invented for this hostel. The community room is the biggest, coolest and most spacious I've ever seen. Cozy sofa, a fireplace, and a well-ordered book and play area. Plus a hostel kitchen that's looking for its own kind - oven, mixer, baking machine, everything. There's plenty of bathrooms, all very spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable. The staff is super nice and helpful. The location is great, it's on the Tans-Canadian Highway.

The Dreamcather hostel is such a wonderful place to stay. We stayed here for a month in Feb-March for a ski trip.

The hostel has everything you could possibly need, a massive kitchen, super nice lounging area, it’s very clean and tidy and the owners and staff are all super friendly. Could not recommend this place highly enough!

Golden is a great base to explore the local ski options from Kicking Horse to Rogers Pass/ Yoho / Banff national park, the options are endless!

Amazing Hostel, highly recommended!

Simon and Carloyn have made a very welcoming home for travellers. Very clean, well run and friendly. The lourge, dining and kitchen area is very large and relaxing. Nice 4 bed dorm too. Could not ask for more. Thanks

Very Friendly

You can't beat the location for this hostel: walking distance to grocery store, restaurants and pubs. Only 10mins drive to the ski hill.
The staff is super dedicated, helpful and welcoming.  Would stay there again!!

Great hostel, central location

I'm not a hostel type, but in this case the situation was acceptable. The place is really nice and colorful, as well as clean and well organized. There is a large room with sofas, iv and fireplace, a kitchen with refrigerators arranged for floors and rooms, cups and various dishes. The rooms are 4 and 6, but I think there are also double rooms. The bathrooms are big and clean. The only drawback is the proximity to the rail tracks: all night passing freight trains that are really annoying!!
