It was as expected for the price.Good clean and quiet

This was my second stay!  I was working in Pembina and this motel was only a 7 minute drive and had 5.0 star ratings/ reviews on TripAdvisor.

This motel is a gem!  Frank and Faye have done a fabulous job freshening up this older motel.  This place is spotless!!  Beds & bedding were nice, decor is fresh while modest. You get a lot for your money here!!  I didn't expect a fancy place in Emerson for this reasonable rate.  I greatly appreciated this modest place.

This owner team running the place were very friendly an accommodating - I had a fairly late arrival my first stay and they picked up some of my families favorite Canadian candy for me for my second stay.

Definitely will return and recommend the Maple Leaf Motel.

Fred and Diane, who own and run the Maple Leaf Motel, are solid gold! The warmth and engagement is superb. They know everyone in town, and it was so fun to have them give me the "inside tour" of Emerson. There's a Pho restaurant in town that has knockout-good everything! The Maple Leaf is so comfortable, like a big cozy easy chair. Not fancy like the big time properties - it's like being at your family house. Fred took the time to take me around Emerson and point things out for my TV reporting shoot. He even got out his air compressor and made sure my front tires were up to specs. I couldn't say more about how good they are. They JUST ARE! Bless these people. I'd come back anytime!

We, my husband and I and our little dog, make this trip every year to see family in Emerson and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

The room is basic but has everything you need and was spotless. We received excellent service for an incredible price. The location is perfect as you can easily walk to the park, pool area and local bar.

Wonderful little hotel located a stone's throw from the border. Staff were welcoming and constantly checked to make sure I was comfortable or needing things. They were knowledagble of the area and while my stay was short, a great stay was had

The motel is very clean, the people owning it are very nice and willing to help anyway they can. The town is very small with almost no food choices. The motel is an older and very small motel with tiny rooms but kept up very well. It does have a microwave and small  refrigerator. Beds are comfortable and furnace keeps the room warm.

The room was very clean and a warm refuge on a cold night - there are limited choices in a small town and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was well equipped, and there was plenty of hot water - If I could criticize anything at all, it would be that I had to unplud something to plug in my laptop.

This team of owners are the star of the stay!  Love them and this motel!!

Like home, with two incredible owners who really, really care.

Older but very clean motel.

I normally find it difficult to give five stars to older small-town motels, but the Maple Leaf Motel offers too much not to. Simply put, what you get for a $62 single room is fantastic. My room was a good size, clean, with a great queen size bed, flat screen TV, free wi-fi, fridge, microwave; even extras like shampoo that a lot of motels do not have. Rooms have been renovated fairly recently. Exceptionally quiet as you are in town away from the highway and busy roads. The couple running the place for the winter while the owners were away are great people who I enjoyed talking to. There is now a newly opened cafe a block away offering decent breakfasts. The location in unique as Minnesota is across the street, and the border crossing to North Dakota is less than 5 mins away. Only complaint was that it took a while for the hot water to get going. Simply put, the value you get with the low rates at the Maple Leaf Motel makes it a top-notch property in my books.

Incredible Value

We were a little late arriving but we were met at the door and quickly and efficiently checked in. It was nice and quiet.

Clean older motel. Does the job quite well with a great staff.

Clean Room with Incredible Price

This is an older motel with owners that care. There is quirky things in the room for convenience like power bars and a usb charging station. The bathroom was cleaner then most four star hotels i have stayed in. Its dated but comfortable for a wiery traveler
