Amazing place to stay. Very clean and amazing host with fabulous breakfast. Highly recommended.

This was a great place to stay for my overnight in Edmonton. The room was very clean and cozy with a really nice en suite bathroom. The hosts could not have been more accommodating. I told them that I was a vegetarian and they put together one of the nicest veggie breakfasts I've ever had. Amazing service - highly recommended

The manager was very welcoming and took care of all my needs.

Firstly, Ritchie B&B offers the most fantastic breakfast one could ask for in a B&B, better than anything I’ve had elsewhere by far.  From the coffee to the fresh-baked desserts and everything in-between, everything is top-notch!  Also, the location within Edmonton is very central and quite convenient for getting around the city.

I booked this B&B around 4 months in advance as part of our 3 week trip to Canada. 
When we were already in Vancouver, I got an email saying they didn't accept my credit card and requesting a new one within 24h.
Fortunately I saw the email on time and supplied a valid card within a couple of hours, but they still cancelled my reservation immediately without even trying to contact me.
I called them many times, they either didn't answer or even hung up on me once!
I also sent an email, called booking.com for help.... no way to contact the property.
I guess they just had friends over and where looking for an excuse to cancel without even talking to me, which I find extremely rude.
Fortunately Edmonton is a big city with many options so I finally found an alternative lovely B&B, but a few days before we stayed in the Rockie Mountains where there were absolutely no alternatives and we would have ended up sleeping in our car because of this very rude host.
Unfortunately Booking.com will only allow comments when you actually visit the property, so maybe many people in the same situation have been let down by this B&B but its score is still very high and doesn't reflect the fact that they can let you down in the middle of your vacacion.
Very sad, also very disappointed that booking.com will allow this behaviour after I have spent thousands of euros with them. The genius status they supposadly give me doesn't even grant me some guarantee, even if the rejected credit card was accepted by 10+ other properties during the same trip. No way to treat customers.

Scary

The location was exactly what we wanted and it was nice to not have to pay for parking (like some other hotels in the area). We had breakfast the first morning ($7 per person) and it was delicious! Really good value. Unfortunately, the next morning was quite loud. The proprietor has 3 small children and they were running around at 7 am on the main floor (above us in the basement). Could also hear guests talking during breakfast. Like many new infills, the house was open concept and hardwood so sound really carried. A great place to stay overall, just don't expect to be able to sleep in!

It's a family home with the basement converted into a professionally appointed suite with a few rooms and shared kitchen/lounge. The space is kept immaculately clean and the hosts were warm, attentive, and efficient. My room was both cozy and refreshing to stay in. If you stay here, definitely stay for breakfast for the beautiful hand-made spread. I'd stay here over a hotel any day!

I can't say enough about my stay at the Ritchie B&B, everything from the room, the breakfast, and location for me were top notch! The family that runs this B&B truly go out of their way to accommodate and make you feel welcome...Thank You Very Much:)I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Edmonton to seriously consider this B&B.
