We had a lovely time at the Creemore Inn last weekend.  Our room was so pretty and comfortable.  We also had a great time making use of the pool.  Though you don't have anyone on property, we have stayed there a few times and never had any issues with this as we've always had everything we needed and this last stay was no different.  Angela was in touch with us the day of our stay and available for any last minute request including gluten free bread!  Would definitely recommend staying here.

This past weekend a family group of 7 of us were attending a wedding in Creemore and stayed 2 nights at the Creemore House Inn. We had the whole place to ourselves and it was a wonderful stay!. The rooms were large, well equipped, comfortable and well decorated. While it is a "self-serve" check-in facility (i.e. there is no staff regularly on site), their concierge / hostess Angela mad a point of telephoning us in advance of our stay to fill us in on the Inn, inquire if we had any particular needs or requests and provide us with information about local restaurants etc. She also came by the Inn each day to make sure all was fine. Angela even offered to drive some of us to the wedding venue about 10 minutes' drive away! The breakfast of fresh (still warm!) breads and pastries and fruit, yogurt, juice etc. was more than adequate. While it was late September, the weather in Creemore was perfect and the heated and well landscaped and equipped pool was a real plus. We heartily recommend the Creemore House Inn!

Very cozy bright well appointed rooms, with very nice bedding. An airbnb concept you let yourself in and everything is set up for you. Local milk, cinnamon buns, basic fruit and cereal for breakfast. Great location and romantic. Overall clean, aside from what appeared to be the previous guests morning coffee stain on the carpet, carpets could probably use a good shampooing.. Regardless a wonderful spot and we will return. Oh and great pizza down the road.

Terrific weekend in Creemore

Creemore House is a B&B that calls itself a "luxury inn" with a unique twist - there are no innkeepers. You are given a code for the door before you arrive, all payment is taken care of in advance online. Someone drops off "continental breakfast" and someone is supposed to clean (more on that later), but you literally never see a person here to check in or anything like that. I'm in favor of the concept - it's nice to not have to worry that you are inconveniencing anyone if you turn up late - but in this case, it just doesn't work. 

Here's some excerpts from my email correspondence with Creemore House following our stay:

"We stayed at Creemore House two nights in celebration of  anniversary. We were looking forward to a relaxed, romantic getaway. After much consideration, we are requesting a partial refund for our stay. There were several issues, all complicated by the lack of staff on hand. We found Creemore House to be far from a "luxury" property.

1. Both pillowcases had fresh, crusty stains on them. Not laundered-in stains, crusty stains - photos attached. Disgusting. We did not discover this until late Friday night, and as there was no staff available, and no directive on where to find additional linens, we covered our pillows with t-shirts from our luggage. Not at all romantic.

2. Breakfast the first morning was adequate. The croissants were rather stale, and the jam provided was so old that it had dehydrated and hardened into fruit leather. We purchased our own jam at the Farmer's Mkt on Saturday in anticipation of avoiding hotel jam on Sunday.

3. The pool was not clean. There were no towels provided for the pool area. The pool area was carpeted in liquor and beer bottles from some previous guest's party, this trash remained there for the entire duration of our stay.

4. We had assumed that daily housekeeping would change out our sheets, but as a safeguard, we left the stained pillowcases on the floor to signal their need for changing. Apparently, there is no daily housekeeping, as our room was never attended to. Ugh. Expedia, Hotels.com, etc all list "Daily housekeeping" among your amenities. T-shirts went back on the pillows.  

5. Here's the biggest issue. Our breakfast things from the first morning were never removed. When we returned to our room late Sept 10, the dirty dishes were still there. I personally removed them and put them on the trolley, assuming that whoever came with breakfast the next am would remove them and refresh our supply of plates, cutlery, coffee cups, etc. Whomever came left additional pastries only, they did not leave any additional fruit. They also did not remove the old breakfast stuff, or leave us new dishes. Scrounging about the house on your anniversary in search of a coffee cup is about the least luxurious thing I can think of. Looking at yesterday's breakfast things is just plain disgusting. This was a complete disaster in light of us trying to fashion together a romantic anniversary breakfast. Photo attached.

Other issues: No light in the shower, no fresh towels, difficulty with door locks (including a neighboring room knocking on our door to help unlock her door), lack of privacy (could hear full conversations in other rooms), cereal mislabelled (container said "raisin bran", cereal in container was not raisin bran).

There is a certain convenience to being able to arrive late and not worry about inconveniencing an innkeeper, but the execution of the "no front desk" here just isn't working. You can skip having a fulltime person there if everything else is attended to, but that's not the case - far from it. This experience was not the romantic, private anniversary that we were hoping for, and it's just plain unacceptable. Do you have a staff? Are they this negligent, or are you? There is a basic level of service that a property touting itself as "luxury" needs to uphold, and we found this to be very lacking. As such, we request a prompt refund of one nights stay."

We did receive the one night refund, as well as an offer to come back again for a complimentary stay. I replied that we would consider another stay, but we're expecting our second child - this was our last chance for a solo getaway for the foreseeable future. I asked whether children were welcome on the property, could we bring the kids with us? AND I NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE AGAIN. So, any good will you restored by offering the comp stay - you just crushed it. What a waste. We won't be back.

A comedy of errors - this is not a B&B

That stay was absolutely to what we expected from looking at the advertisement. 
Not necessarily a great deal at the first place but the most irritating part was that you'll never see any staff during the entire stay. If you need anything or if you have any questions you  are provided with an email address where you can fire off your injuries and ONLY in case of an EMERGENCY you are allowed to TEXT two phone numbers you'll find in your "welcome email" I texted both numbers to inquire about a lack of parking (which is advertised as included but was full) and also when got a bit frustrated from the alcohol laden pool party from other guests which lasted until 1:30 in the morning in front of our room. I did not get a single response back which obviously means that nobody cares about your stay besides yourself. 

The welcome email also mentions that your breakfast items are in the fridge (bottled water, juice and two yoghurts and in the morning you can also enjoy some previously frozen croissants. Definitely not what I expected and overall a very disappointing stay and needless to say that I won't go back or neither would recommend to stay there.
