We stayed at The Stone Gate Inn from Oct. 3 - 7, 2019 and enjoyed every moment of our stay.  The hosts (Kim and Terry) are warm and welcoming and their B&B is nicely situated south of Calgary - it is only a 12 KM (i.e., 10-minute car ride) to various amenities such as restaurants and shopping.  We were pleasantly surprised to find that the room we stayed in was even nicer than the photos depicted on their website.  We stayed in the "Serenity Suite" and it had a large extremely comfortable king-sized bed, a great view of the gardens, windows that opened with screens and a shower and deep soaker/jetted tub.  The Serenity Room also had a very large walk-in closet with a multitude of storage options, which worked perfectly for us because we had a lot of cold weather clothing and luggage we needed to store.  The breakfasts provided were continental in style and included eggs, a variety of breads, preserves, cereals and an excellent selection of assorted pastries, and fresh fruit salad as well as yogurts and cheeses.  We were visiting for a wedding and members of the wedding party rented out the entire establishment, the bride took one of the suites and used it for pre-wedding photos and invited members of her immediate family and bride’s maids for a champagne toast reception prior to heading to the wedding venue.  We truly appreciated the kindness of our hosts and enjoyed mixing and mingling with family and friends under one roof.  If our travels take us back to Calgary, we would stay at this establishment again and we will absolutely recommend The Stone Gate Inn to our family and friends!

Wonderful Wedding Weekend!

This is a lovely B&B situated in a quiet location a short drive from Calgary.  The owners are friendly and knowledgeable & enthusiastic about the attractions in the vicinity.  They operate it as a true home-from-home.

Lovely B&B

The Bed & Breakfast is located in the south of Calgary and is also easily accessible from the airport. If you don't have a navigation device, a good guide and the house number are recommended, because the B&B is not marked and there are no signs on the property/house. The house is very quiet, which promises relaxation right after a long flight. We had the room with a king size bed. The room was clean, nicely decorated and the bed had a very good mattress. Especially the very nice and friendly hosts are the guests.

What an amazing gem just outside of Calgary! The view of the city skyline is spectacular. I was very welcomed by the amazing hosts Kim and Terry. They served a fantastic breakfast with gluten free options. I was upgraded to a more luxurious suite because it was available. I would highly recommend this B and B for a romantic getaway, weekend retreat or just to get away for some r and r. The property is beautiful and there are many outdoor sitting spaces available to enjoy some serenity outside of the busy city.

A great place to stay!

I stayed for 2 weeks at the lovely Stone Gate Inn B&B while I travelled for a 2 week business trip to Calgary a few weeks ago.  I immediately fell in love with Kim and Terry's home the minute I drove up the long driveway, not to mention the genuineness of Kim and Terry themselves.

My room, Memories, was beyond what I hoped for and the access to a kitchen and fridge made being away from home for so long,  as if I was home. I really liked my adopted new place away where I could make supper, avoid restaurants and be asked: 'How was your day today?' When I got home.

Kim and Terry were wonderful hosts, who always looked for ways to make my stay more enjoyable.  They were very helpful serving my breakfast at 6:15 each day so I could be on my way to work early, even packing up the rest of the delicious fruit filled oatmeal I insisted on having each day for my lunch.

I highly recommend staying at the Stone Gate Inn B&B if your travels take you to the Calgary area, especially in the Southern end of Calgary, if you love being far from the city,  being out in the country, love little dogs like I do, and enjoy seeing the horses in the field right outside the patio.  For me, it has become my new home and I plan on returning there regularly. Hope you enjoy it too!

Loved my stay and will surely go back

We had a great stay right from the moment the front door opened.  Very friendly hosts. Made us feel right at home.  Showed us to a beautifully decorated room.   Breakfast was way above expectations.   Would highly recommend this B&B to anyone who would like to unwind after a long day on the road. Many thanks to our gracious hosts.

Tranquility

Wonderful hosts, beautiful home, first experience of B&B.  Delicious breakfast. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the beds are extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Hope to return someday.

Would highly recommend & stay again

The Stone Gate Inn is a very nice bed & breakfast operated with a lot of love and hospitality by Kim & Terry. The property, a little outside the hustle and bustle of the city, is located in a wonderful landscape, as are the rooms, very well maintained. The hotel operators are very attentive and helpful to their guests and the breakfast has also been idealized and tasty served and presented. Also, the guest's composition (which was by chance) was very happy, peaceful and communicative. In short, a bed & breakfast for unconditional accommodation.
