One of the best motels I've stayed at and I am looking forward to staying here in the future next time I come to Cold Lake. Very clean with comfortable beds, continental breakfast, great T.V's & WIFI, quiet and the location is fantastic with just a 3 minute walk to the Marina and 5 minute drive to the beach. The staff is friendly and really put in extra effort to keep the grounds clean and inviting. This motel is an A+

Dockside Inn Motel in Cold Lake Alberta is an older motel but has been completely redone with excellent workmanship throughout. This was evident in the painting, the tiles, the bathroom equipment, the parking lot and outside appearance plus the comfort of the motel itself.  The cleanliness of this hotel was outstanding!  This is one of the nicest refurbished motels we have ever been to. The breakfast selection was also outstanding. We highly recommend this motel to any travellers in Cold Lake.

TVs every where, food - everything our hearts desired. It was tricky to find, numbers on the garage door would have helped. Home made jams. Our own bathrooms. Pillows and beds were very comfortable. Ladies ideal stay.

Front desk staff were friendly. Room as clean. Odd to find an almost full size fridge rather than a mini in our non kitchen room. The only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast. No protein unless I wanted to get peanut butter from the communal jar. The beds we’re comfortable although very tall so a struggle to get in and out.

The Inn is a block from the lake, so it is within walking distance. The room was kept exceptionally clean - a nice surprise. The breakfast was not very good - a member of our group is diabetic and nothing offered fit with their requirements. So go knowing it consists of store bought muffins and cinnamon rolls. It was easy to find, the staff were pleasant and checking in and out was easy.

First off, when I was a teenager one of my first jobs was as a housekeeper at this motel, so I knew the layout and location very well. It has been extensively renovated since my days of working there.  The location simply cannot be beat, it is one block away from the marina in Cold Lake.  Price as well could not be beat as it was less than $100 per night, including a small charge for me to have my little dog with me in the room. The property itself they have put a lot of work into planting beautiful flowers on the grounds and they have an area for people to sit and even a BBQ guests can use if they like.  Breakfast is included, however I didn't eat it due to dietary restrictions.  It looked like standard cold breakfast items like cereal, muffins and fruit etc. 

Rooms were clean and well appointed.  They included a nice flatscreen tv, DVD player, small fridge and microwave.  I didn't notice a problem at all with noise like some of the other reviews have stated. The room I was in had a couple minor issues like and older carpet, bathroom fan didn't work  and the dial was missing on the AC unit (I was still able to run it without the dial).  However I know from experience pet-friendly rooms typically are not the nicest in any hotel or motel, so overall not a big deal.  

I certainly would not hesitate to stay here again. I appreciated that I could bring my dog with me and really like the location so close to the marina.

we always come to cold lake for ice fishing and dock side is always our first choice, it's affordable and clean and many ice fishermen gather in the breakfast room to swap stories and tips. we always enjoy our stay.

I stayed here in late March 2019 for a weekend ice fishing trip on Cold Lake. The Motel is dated and very simple. It is clean which is all you can ask for in a motel i guess. The free breakfast is just old pastries, bread and cereals. If you are looking for a no frills, clean place to sleep, this will do.  

OK Motel

I had booked 8 rooms with Jessica, at $79 each and $25 additional for our dog. 

Upon check in, my family were over charged and sent into different rooms. The owner lacks professionalism and kept losing the credit card given to her for the bookings. 

Very disheartening especially when everything was confirmed with an email and good to go.

My family and friends were so upset at being over charged. 

I understand it is a MOTEL but agreeing to ine price and then over charging is not acceptable.

Will never stay here again.

Worst group check in service

Beware this business! They are rip off artists! They charged my CC without me ever staying there and without confirming with me they actually had a room. Avoid this so called hotel at all costs. They will rip you off! Can't believe they run a business like this!
