Babo at the front desk was helpful and took the extra step to help us enjoy our stay at the hotel.

Great place to stay convenient to the hill.

Only possible issue was that a pan and pot from previous guests in the kitchenette were dirty and needed cleaning prior to our use and that the refrigerator struggled to keep contents cold.

Amazing location and it’s quite clean and a good value compared to other hotels in the area.The property is getting tired though. There a few maintenance issues- burnt out light bulbs in room, nothing to scrub pans with (so we had pans with the last persons eggs baked on and nothing to clean them with).Plus it can be really loud if you are at all near the elevator and stairs, or if you have upstairs neighbours that think it’s ok to have your kids run around in ski books at 645 am (not really the hotel’s fault, but there was not a lot of soundproofing).If you are over-height, parking can be an issue as we got the last spot in the overflow of the overflow. Not sure what people that came in after us did. if you wanted to drive to the Nordic centre or somewhere else, you would have lost your spot.

It’s right next to the ski ticket booth which is really nice and convenient and the restaurant is pretty good. My room had a very odd smell almost like ammonia so that was the biggest downside. They have underground parking which is nice if you have a smaller vehicle but my truck wouldn’t fit so I had to walk a ways.

Can’t beat the location for ski in/ ski out and access to the village. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and beds comfortable. Be sure to bring your own pillow if you don’t like big pillows. We had a double room for a family of 3. Cooking was a bit awkward on a non stove/ 2 burner hot plate so we ended up eating out much of the time. Only downside consideration is that it can get noisy on the weekends. The lodge is attached to Bottoms Bar and Grill on one side and the entrance to the village shops on the other. Late night revelers and early morning snow plows can be noisy on the weekend nights. It’s not bad enough to deter us but don’t forget a sound machine and ear plugs if you book as the location can’t be beat.

Rooms were nice and spacious but they were also quite noisy- you could hear everything outside, in the halls and in the rooms next door. Better insulated doors and windows could help with this. Would have been nice to have room turnover daily for new towels. Generally decent upkeep but gym room had some messy towels lying around when I used it.

Our room and kitchenette was all that we needed. The ski in/out was great and so close to the slopes.  We definitely want to come back again.  We were lucky with the snow conditions and the warm temperatures, coldest day was -9 but it’s so beautiful and quiet (compared to Europe) even at their busiest time of year.

Amazing Stay

My son and I stayed here for a ski weekend in December 2024. The hotel is located in the heart of the village and the rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Ski lifts, shopping and restaurants were all available mere steps from the hotel entrance. I originally booked one night, then added a second the following day, and the front desk staff was very helpful, particularly Robyn, who ensured we didn't have to switch rooms mid-stay.

Had a great stay at Sundance Lodge! The room was clean, and the bed and sheets were comfortable, but what made the experience exceptional was the front desk staff. I needed to be in Vancouver by a specific time for a very important engagement, and the main highway from Sunpeaks to Vancouver was closed due to an accident. The team at the front desk went above and beyond—they printed out a map and even showed me an alternate route through some backcountry logging roads. It made my trip a bit longer, but it saved me, and I made it to Vancouver just in time for my deadline. Honestly, their help made all the difference. Big thanks to the team at Sundance Lodge!
