What a fantastic resort with garage parking. In the middle of a picturesque mountainside. The front desk people never greeted us and sometimes hid to avoid making contact. Otherwise the rooms and property were excellent. It’s expensive but well worth it.

Great stay.  Relaxing time.  Fortune was so very helpful.  Pool wam and wonderful.  Spacious and homey as well.  Had family from England join us.  Enjoyed hiking and the amenities.  Thank you for the wonderful accomodation and such a pleasant stay.

The location was the best part.  We like being a little ways from down down Canmore.  There was even Elk walking through the property. The unit was nice.  Our biggest frustration was the there was usually no one at the front desk to ask questions.  They were suppose to be on duty at 8:30 am but we usually left the unit about 9:00 and was their still no one to ask questions five  of the seven days we were there.  They also go home at 8:00 pm and we usually got back later than that since it stays light out till 10:00 pm and we did a lot of site seeing before a late dinner. Also they need to tell  you how to lock the automatic door when you leave. You have a code to open it.  For the first two days we assume it locked behind you,  You actually need to hit a symbol on the door that has a lock to make the door lock.  We had left the door open all day for the first three days, not knowing this procedure.

We traded our regular timeshare for this gem nestled in the Three Sisters area of Canmore. The outdoor hottub area is beautiful and the rooms well appointed. My only concern is the lack of people on staff after hours (i.e. no one on site that I could find) and the ease of getting locked out! On different occasions both my husband and I got locked out of the venue or out of our rooms and if we hadn't been resourceful we wouldn't have been really stuck. A caution to older travellers: if you require someone on site to help in an emergency, be sure to have a fall back plan in place.

We came to Canmore for a wedding, and stayed an extra night afterwards because it's such a great place. My wife booked us into the GRR, right in the downtown, with a stunning view of the mountain peaks. Our room was a bit out-of-the-way, requiring a bit more effort dragging rolling bags through snow to the 'annex' building that fronts onto a major downtown street. But the great-value suite there, with good quality finishes and furnishings, including a fireplace, was unexpected and much appreciated. And surprisingly quiet. 
I arranged for a friend who lived there to meet me in the bar mid-afternoon, and only to discover that the bar would be routinely closed at that time. My predicament was easily solved by a genial, decision-making manager (Jason). He simply kept the bar open, allowing us access to the kitchen as well. And we enjoyed an absolutely fantastic 5-star osso buco meal! Again, a completely unexpected level of culinary skill, delivered by an excellent server who stayed on to serve us. Excellent service and great value for everything.

 This is a very nice hotel in a lovely setting.  Staff are helpful. There's a good range of facilities with a nice restaurant and bar along with a swimming pool and indoor and outdoor hot tub. The bedroom was a very good size, comfortable bed, A.C.  and a good bathroom with good quality shower.  

Recently visited this resort for two nights and was pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. The room was clean, spacious, and equipped with a kitchenette/BBQ. Check-in was quick and easy, and hotel staff were able to provide us with restaurant recommendations and maps of the area. Underground parking is also provided for all guests, which was very convenient. There was also a water station in the lobby which was very convenient for filling up our reusable water bottles before heading out on a hike (I do not drink plastic bottled water, so this was so nice to have). Being situated in Canmore as opposed to Banff was ideal; driving through hordes of people in Banff, only to arrive at our quiet resort 20 minutes later was wonderful. We had a mountain view from the balcony (second floor), with trees surrounding the area.The bedroom was also very far from the front door so we did not hear any other guests from surrounding rooms at all. I recommend the Summit Cafe for breakfast,great local spot.

Robert was so accomodating on our arrival when I needed help to understand how the new fridge works.  Fancy electronics!

Enjoyable stay!

We rented 2 bedroom unit, it was spacious but very dated. Cheap appliances, kitchen faucet was so old you had to work it out to shut the water. Toilets are old, noisy and not environmentally friendly, bathroom counter height is for a midget, we had to bend to wash our teeth. Heating goes on and is not on timer, it’s also very loud.
This resort doesn’t recycle!!! On our moving out day elevator was broken, when I reported this to reception I received a shrug from front office staff, yeah, they know, but what can you do. Please move on with times Grand Canadian Resort Club, many nicer places to stay in Canmore for this price. It was also the first time we had to PAY for wifi.

Average stay, far from town center

Stayed here for a week.  We had a week we had to "use or lose" and this was the only place our Timeshare could confirm in canmore for skiing - we are no longer with the Timeshare, got out of that. I know they were trying to dump a place on us they cannot get anyone to take, but we are done with all of it and after staying at this place I am happier than ever with the decision.

This is Timeshare and it appears some of the units are owned or have long term tenants on the higher floors.  It is an odd set up with the front half of the property being World Mark and the back part being Grand Canadian, the pool area in the basement separates them.

Check In - staff person was bored and uninterested in helping anyone.  asked for a room on higher floor, she said the 2 and 3rd floor are not operating in the winter season, only the ground floor.  Staff will not answer any questions, just hand you a sheet of paper with the manual door codes, garage door code.  If you ask questions, she tells you to read the sheet and goes back to playing on her phone.

Unit was clean, and the living room furniture in our unit appeared new, however the rest is dated - 1990's dated.

Garage was heated, but filthy.  some cars parked down there looked like they had been there for months, covered in dirt and dust.

Never saw any staff the time we were there.  reception hours say 8-5 mon to Friday and 8-8 sat, never saw anyone there.  They have a phone # on "the sheet" they give you with a number to call if you need assistance, it goes to a voice mail and no one calls back.

When you come or go front the building, you can see some of the units on floors 2 and 3 are occupied, lights on, TV's on.  It is all very ODD.

The World Mark resort attached has access to Grand Canadian, however you as a Grand Canadian cannot go to there side, there is a "different code" for them.

We got fed up with the pool being closed, and went to reception.  There was an office to the side, by the front door, and a man and woman in the office.  Asked them about the pool situation, both said they don't work there, but the pool is managed by the "other side", the side we cannot access or call over to.  The man then turned away, made a phone call.  As we returned to our unit, he came down the hall after us and said the pool would be open later.
Again, all very ODD.

The heating system sound like a jet plane engine it is so loud, I mean LOUD.  finally turned it off and use the gas fireplace to warm the unit up.

If you want wifi you have to pay extra for it, and you get another piece of paper with the access code.

No safe in the room 

You can find next to no information about this place anywhere; who owns it, contact info, nothing.  

We would not go back.  It is a lovely quiet part of Canmore, elk and deer all around, very peaceful.  But there is just something odd about the whole place and they way it operates.

Odd place to stay

Pretty average and simple lodging. The term resort is a bit of a stretch, a pool, hot tubs and a sauna.  Don’t plan on enjoying the ‘resort’ as much as you should be enjoying the location. As for the accommodations - AC was loud and inadequate. Broken coffee maker, thankfully replaced quickly.
