Best location for everything. You can park once and walk everywhere on and around Banff Avenue. Then if you want to leave the strip, you can just take the local bus to take you to other points of interest. Highly recommend!

Hotel is accessible to  downtown shops, cleanliness is superb,parking is on the same floor ($30 for overnight parking).

It was great. Tight quarters but had everything you needed. It was new and very very clean and a great location.

Property located in the heart of Banff that’s cozy and clean. It’s located close to the SkiBig3 shuttle stop and has all food options available nearby (including a grocery and liquor store). Had a wonderful stay!

Amazing to have a 2BD/2BA hotel so close to downtown Banff. We were within 2 minutes walking of a grocery store, liquor store, restaurants, ski shop, and coffee shop. Parking garage is attached to building so you don’t have to go outside. 2 hot tubs on the roof with amazing views!

The location of the property is fantastic.  Easy walk to the entire downtown area.  Two coffee shops with breakfast items, a grocery store and a liquor store within a 2 minute walk.  Also, easy to leave in your vehicle and head to Sunshine or Norquay.  The pictures of the room are a little deceiving.  They are accurate, but taken in a way to make the rooms look bigger than they are.  There are no closets and it feels more like a hotel room than your typical two bedroom VRBO.  It had some dishes and cooking pans, etc., but you shouldn't plan on making complex meals.  They do supply coffee filters, coffee, tea, salt, pepper and an oil (not sure what kind).The parking garage next door was convenient, but it is $30 per day and only allows one entry/exit.  You cannot leave and come back multiple times per day without paying the hourly rate.  Their system was broken 5 out of the 7 days.  We were told there was free parking at the train station but we never used it.Overall, the place is clean, well maintained, with relatively new furnishings, etc.  I would stay there again if we returned to Banff.

I loved my stay coz everything i needed was there, easy check in.  Im very particular with cleanliness and i was so happy when i say everything i needed was there, broom, extra paper towels, soaps and etc. no inconvenience of asking for this and that coz you have enougg in your room for a family like.. i alsk loved the view

Nice view

This property was clean, efficient and in a VERY good location.  The unit is VERY small!  There is NO closet, no room for a suitcase in the bedroom and only ONE drawer in the entire apartment.  Also, the parking is VERY convenient BUT there is a $30 per day charge.  Just know in advance what you are getting.

Overall we were happy with our Christmas stay at Basecamp Suites.Location is wonderful. Honestly you'd have a hard time beating it. It's next to the IGA and only a few minutes to walk to the meeting points for nearly all major tour companies (the high school and the train station).The hot tub was AMAZING and we were surprised to find that most nights we had it to ourselves. We definitely weren't expecting that kind of privacy on the week of Christmas.There were a few downsides - the beds were comfortable but something about the mattress was really hot. It was nearly like it was retaining body heat? It got to the point where my son had to sleep with the windows open (in December!) to cool down.They value privacy. We didn't really speak to anyone much during our visit. It's all remote check in, staff are there but are inside a separate glassed off room. It's not a bad thing necessarily but it definitely felt a little impersonal at times. When we did need assistance, staff were available pretty promptly by phone.Probably the biggest downside is that it is compact to the point of cramped at times. No bench space for makeup or toiletries much. Nowhere to keep luggage. With a whole family in the two bedroom apartment we were definitely tripping over things a bit. We had a great stay but there may be better options for the price. I'd still be open to staying elsewhere next time.

Great location, fabulous hot tub, compact rooms

We had a family night out to Banff.  Location was great. Unfortunately no parking but there is a Parkade quite literally attached to the building.  Out unit was great for our family, love the bedrooms and the beds were comfortable. It would definitely be a good set up for a longer stay. I think a really good clean/upkeep check is necessary; definitely mildewing smell and one of the bathrooms smelt like old water or something super stale. They also have a warning about a cleaning fee if you don’t clean prior to leaving. I understand turning over rooms in a timely fashion but that’s hotel’s responsibility not the guests.

Day in Banff

I chose Basecamp because I wanted self-catering and it looked central and yet just off the busy main street. Everything was perfect! I could walk everywhere including the rail station and a stop for the Roam transit bus to the lakes and the Banff gondola. The appartment was perfect with a spacious well-equipped kitchen, relaxing area and a view out of the window of the mountains - wonderful! The staff at reception were really friendly and helpful with advice on where to visit and how to get about on transport. The roof hot tub was an unexpected pleasure after a long cool hike. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The stay was good.  The one bedroom apartment was smaller than I expected, the bathroom was tight and so was the bedroom getting around the bed.  It was very well supplied and the bed was very comfortable.  The bathroom sink seemed to leak around the faucet because it was always wet. The rooftop hot tubs were really nice, but we wished there was a way to socialize on the roof with picnic tables, or table/chairs.  Missed being able to feel the outside air unless we went all the way down 3 flights of stairs to the street. Having no central lounge or meeting room or rooftop tables was missed since we were there with other couples always trying to meet up. Everything was very clean and well taken care of.

Nice stay, couple suggestions

Loved staying here with my family. The ladies at the front desk were so nice and helpful. We never used the next door garage here. We used the free 9 hour parking at the train station, moving the car to free street parking (8:00pm-8:00am) every day and it’s so close that it honestly was no big deal. Every other thing we needed within the area is accessible by ROAM. The IGA store is right next door too. It was very quiet and nice. The hot tubs were not working so that was a disappoint to my kids, but all in all it was wonderful.

Very comfortable, full kitchen, 2 bedroom apartment.  Clean, with a great kitchen the best on our travels to date.  Great Location to everything in Banff.   Terrific supportive Reception, but to our disappointment No Parking!  Over $AU4000 for a four day stay, and No Parking!  This caused problems on arrival and did make for a bad experience, as the street parking machine operates by a QR Code that nobody could get to work.  We had to park at the Free Parking at the train station a 5 minute walk away.  This is Not acceptable for the rates one is paying to stay in Banff.  Would I recommend Basecamp Suites - absolutely if they sort out the parking issue!

Great Location… a bigger Qs… Where to park!

Basecamp was great for our 2 bedroom stay. The place was very well looked after and clean. The kitchen was well stocked.A couple of things to note: 1 parking is not included and runs $30/day. This is kinda annoying because we left the car in for 28hrs and got charged $60. The hotel doesnt run the parking so there isn't really anyone to talk to about it. Our suggestion here would be for Basecamp to have a deal with the parking garage to facilitate a better experience.2. The bedrooms run a little small and more importantly lacked av wariness a wardrobe or space for suitcases. Having 2 large and 2 small suitcases in one room made getting to things difficult and involved a lot of jumping over the bed.Having said that, the location is fantastic with everything in easy reach. The staff were friendly and our 11pm arrival was handled well. We found having a code instead of keys to enter was very helpful.Would definitely stay again, knowing to expect the parking situation and perhaps packing lighter!
