A friend and my self booked in for 1 night and found it tobe a great place to stay. Location for walking and kayaking couldn’t be better. Basic but very clean room equipped with everything you need. If it’s not in the room all you have to do is ask Eve she’ll sort it. We found it so good that we decided to stay a further 3 nights. We were very lucky Buddy came back from fishing and supplied us with so wonderful Salmon. (Thanks Buddy). Looking forward to staying with you next time we visit Cortes Island.

Central and strategic would describe the location. Solid down to earth hosts. Friendly clientele. All the creature comforts are available with a heavy dose of raw beautiful nature. Pristine air and towering trees.

Very nice people, a friendly and helpful management. We rent a room and tent outside. Very nice experience it’s like a home away from home. Easy access to beach, lagoon and trails.
We had a perfect vacation.

People friendly is what Cortes Island Motel is all about. That it happens to be strategically located to all points of interest on the island is a bonus. Leave the concrete jungle behind. Lovely staff, very welcoming and friendly - especially John (who also has a fun radio show!) We caught some fresh crab and oysters and had a feast. 

Well located, clean, got everything you need - including a gas fire place in times of a fire ban

We had a super stay at the motel. We go every year to Cortes and stay with Eve and Buddy everytime. This time we went the second weekend of September and the island and hotel were very quiet. We stayed in #5 which has been recently renovated and as always it was quiet , clean and comfortable. They consistently provide a great experience and the hotel is central to our activities.

My daughter and I immediately felt very comfortable here- cooked several meals in the compact and practical kitchen and enjoyed Buddy & Eve's friendly and gracious hosting and their guests. Would definitely stay again

I love Cortes Island and have been visiting here for 17 years and find the Cortes Island Motel the perfect home away from home when spending time on the island. The motel is rustic, quaint, community-oriented and offers a sweet introduction to local life. The owners Buddy and Eve (and their kids) offer a hospitable, warm and generous welcome to their international clientele. 

I very much appreciate how they have always accommodated our travel needs including pets, birthday dinners and travelling with family members with mobility challenges (they generously installed a ramp for one of our family members to ensure they were not challenged with accessibility). 

The motel provides kitchens, comfy beds, Wi-Fi, BBQs, communal or private picnic tables and the owners are more then willing to meet almost all your needs (within reason as it gets very busy on the island during the summer!). 

Situated on ten acres of rustic property, close to (walking distance for most) parks, lakes, Manson’s Landing and the little town center. This motel is not like a city motel, but does accurately reflect the funky, eclectic, fun and community-minded nature of the island and, yes, I highly recommend this motel to all travellers who are interested in experiencing a little of that Cortes Island magic.

We stayed at this Motel twice, in the summer and autumn of 2019. Both times we benefitted from a kind and friendly service. Buddy and Eva are the owners-operators, they are helpful and kind, as most people are on the island, where few people lock theur doors and hitch hiking is an accepted way of transportation.

Fabulous stay on Cortes Island

Great  stay for the weekend

I loved my stay with Buddy and Eve, at the Cortes Motel. Lovely setting with Tall trees all around. The deer come to visit each evening. The warm camp fire made in the fire pit, with natural wood benches. Wonderful evenings spent here. 
During the mornings, with directions and guidance from Buddy, the Oyster and clams were abundant. Walks along the beach which is 2 minutes away from the hotel, were regenerating, and peaceful. 

The bed was comfortable and bedroom/ kitchenette was equipped with every required. 
Loved my stay.
