Amazing resort!! I've stayed at Pine Vista quite a few times over the last 15 years & just enjoyed another with my family last month. Firstly, Julie & Kevin are always so genuinely kind, hospitable,accommodating along with their team at the resort as well. Secondly, they offer beautiful cottages, pool, hot tub, Beach/playground/campfire area etc. & canoes,paddleboards,boat rentals to enjoy some fishing on Stoney Lake. Just the best place for a family trip..Highly recommend!! Thanks for another great stay, much appreciated!

Sixty - yes, 60(!) - of us gathered once again at Pine Vista for a great weekend.  Scottish Country Dancers from all over Southern Ontario had three wonderful days at a clean, modern facility with all the amenities we needed.  Attentive, sincere service made it even better.   Thanks!!!

Our first visit to Pine Vista and everyone loved it ! The M.O. B. ( Matilda , Oliver & Beatrice) had so much fun participating in all the activities , the crafts, swimming in the lake & pool , canoeing, fishing , racing to the candy cart and most importantly, making new friends. 
Recommended by friends Pine Vista was still an unknown to us so we didn’t really know what to expect. It exceeded our expectations! Such a beautiful location , well maintained, clean & above all friendly!
Needless to say we have re-booked for next year . Thank you everyone at Pine Vista for giving my family such a wonderful week!  We can’t wait to return.

N.B. Having been notified well ahead of time we brought our own beach towels & were well aware that due to Covid the laundry facilities were closed. NO PROBLEM! 

We just returned from our first time at Pine Vista and we had a fabulous time! 4 adults and 3 children ages 5, 8 and 8. There were lots of activities, swimming (pool and the lake), fishing, crafts, canoe trip, triva, tie dye, basketball, tennis, badminton and the list goes on. The kids camp was run by friendly, fun and energetic staff that offered some really wonderful creative crafts and activities for all ages. 
There was an end of week celebration for the kids that included awards and personalized medallions. 

The cabins were very clean and the perfect amount of space. The kitchen was very well equipped. If we needed any clean sheets or towels at any point in the week the staff promptly provided them. All staff were expectionally friendly, helpful and ensure guests enjoy their stay. The grounds are beautifully kept. We can't wait to return next summer, so many special memories! Our kids were all sad to leave  after having so much fun and making some great new friends! Thank you to all the staff at Pine Vista for such a fantastic week!

Our children had treated us for a weekend getaway in February 2020. We loved it so much and had mentioned that we would love to return with our grown children. Our children surprised us for a Christmas gift and came along for a weekend getaway this February.  We had a wonderful time  including our 3 year old granddaughter. We were able to skate, snowshoe, tobagon and cross country ski.  We enjoyed having an outside firepit right at our cottage with endless supply of firewood. Fireplace inside was also very comfortable.  Due to Covid we were not able to use the outdoor jacuzzi.

My wife and I headed for a 3n stay at Pine Vista.  We have stayed here once before and we loved it and this time was no different.  Great accommodations, great location, peaceful, beautiful and cleanliness above none.  Amazing and helpful staff!  Thanks for a great get away!

Our family was counting down the days to our annual summer week at The Maples cottage and you didn’t disappoint. New safety protocols were explained and maintained making us feel secure without losing the amenities and activities that make your resort stays so memorable year after year! Cleanliness, service and genuine connection with your guests are always 5 star! The recreational team did an excellent job changing Kids Klub this year to ensure our girls had fun safely- the awesome Candy Cart was DEFINITELY a hit! Proud to be an ambassador for this slice of heaven on Stoney Lake and thank you for the care and thought you put into following the required protocols so we could have just as awesome a time as we do each year- impressed and grateful for this family time together!

We are 'long time' guests of this amazing resort (19 years & counting) & so we just knew that with Covid this year & all the restrictions that come with it, Pine Vista would still find a way to 'make it fun' for all & still keep everyone safe. Their new Candy Kart was a huge success with our Grandchildren this year & for Pine Vista to "jazz up one of their golf carts with a Caribbean theme...including a fake palm tree & music from Mowana" is just so them! Our entire family absolutely luv coming to this resort, as Pine Vista's friendly & caring attitude, along with their strong desire to ensure everyone has fun...we just know, we will always have a great time! Thank you Pine Vista & to all those that work there...for everything you do & for being the "best resort" ever! Our summers & now fall vacations, just wouldn't be the same without ya!

This will be our fourth year at Pine Vista and I have to say we love it! We've stayed at both Treetops and Homestead and, though not on the water, definitely prefer the spacious Homestead property.

When I mentioned we're going back to my 11-year-old he said "best place ever!" The kids have made lifelong friends here and the Kids Club staff are amazing. I know it will be a little different this year, but I'm sure they'll do their best to make it a great experience regardless. If you're coming for great Wi-fi--stay home. This isn't a trip about computer time nor should it be. If you must connect, you're best to use the room off the main office.

I read the last review which frankly makes me a little sad. First off,  they tell everyone (or at least they told me)  that pot smoking is not permitted on the property (I am not a person of colour).

Secondly, my bi-racial family has always felt completely welcome here. Is there a ton of cultural diversity? No, but I think this has more to do with the reality of typical waspy "cottage culture" (it wasn't a tradition in my immigrant family that's for sure). The week we go always has 4-5 families who don't fit this "typical" mould and I'm pretty sure--though I don't begin to speak for other people--their return every year suggests that they feel included. 

Pine Vista isn't fancy, or pretentious. It's a lovely "homey" place with incredible people and an awesome lake. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed (but not party) atmosphere in beautiful surroundings.

We love this place!

My husband and I went to Pine Vista for a Valentine's weekend away. We had a great time! There was snow, but the temperature was not too low making it ideal for outdoor activities. We went tobogganing (they provide toboggans for free) and snow shoeing ($5 to rent for an hour). The grounds were beautiful!

There is an indoor games room with pool, foosball, ping pong and air hockey. There are also free DVD rentals in the lobby and a DVD player in the room. 

There was a wood fire in the room (wood provided). Also a barbecue outside on the deck, which we used to cook dinner. The room was warm, clean and comfortable. 

The staff was friendly and was happy to help with any issues we had. 

I had a great time and would recommend this place to couples looking for a romantic weekend!

Great Winter Getaway

Had a fabulous time at Pine Vista resort. 
Skating on the lake at night with lights strung around the skating area was beautiful and picturesque. Horse drawn sleigh ride through the forest. Tobogganing and then snow taffy. Night time lantern walk with nature sounds and a very informative guide.  A wonderful family vacation over March break. Indoor and an outdoor hottub. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable. A nice fireplace for a warm fire every night for relaxation time. Such an incredible time. We hope to return again next year.

This was our second time staying at Pine Vista, the first being 5 years prior, for March Break and once again we were not disappointed. We stayed in Pines 1 and it was just perfect for our family of 4. One of the things we enjoy the most about this resort is that the planned activities are timed so that you have time to relax between them and you don't need to participate in them unless you want to. They are also planned in such a way that you don't miss out on anything no matter when you arrive. There is also enough to do to keep the kids entertained even if they weren't to participate in the programs. The staff were wonderful, especially Blake who ran most of the activities. We will be recommending this resort to friends and family and we will definitely be returning. Thank you once again to all the staff for such a wonderful experience!
