The staff was exceptionally awesome! Friendly and so accommodating.

The traffic noise was fairly loud when you were outside, but our stay all in all was amazing. We will definitely go back the staff and the food were over the top.

We stayed in one of the cabins, would highly recommend! It was rustic but charming and very clean and very spacious. The staff were outstanding. The dining room was excellent, gorgeous view. The food exceeded my expectations. The restaurant closed early but they let us bring in our own wine and sit by the fire until 11pm.

All staffs are accomodating and very kind. Specially their dining staffs they are all friendly and nice.

I had a wonderful time conversing with the wonderful friendly staff and the room was the quiet sanctuary i needed for that portion of my journey

Absolutely beautiful. The trails were easy to find and navigate and lead to some stunning views. The staff were very friendly and helpfulIt would have been good to know when booking that the restaurant wasn't going to be open one of the days we stayed but overall would go again gladly. Great location and easy access to parks

Fantastic hotel with one of the most spectacular views in all of the Canadian Rockies! Restaurant is world class, staff are super friendly and helpful and rooms are clean and comfortable. Have stayed here before and will stay again. Minutes from Jasper National Park and a relatively short distance to Miette Hot Springs. Highly recommend!

Fantastic hotel with an amazing view!

Conveniently located property to the Jasper area.  The room was basically the equivalent of a motel room and considerably overpriced in our opinion.  The staff was friendly and helpful.  The restaurant served a great breakfast and expensive dinners but has a wonderful view. We enjoyed the large deck at the main lodge for cocktails and snacks in the afternoon.  Our stay was pleasant enough but, overall, the value is not worth the price.

Convenient but overpriced stay in Jasper area

The Lodge is very rustic & feels like u r in a log cabin. The views were outstanding & the restaurant was top notch! It’s unfortunate that the weather was so hot & the rooms do not have air conditioning so it was quite uncomfortable to sleep in at night. Even with the windows open, there wasn’t enough air. The room had a ceiling fan which helped & it would have been better if there was also a large standup fan. They had a tiny extra fan which really didn’t help much. The staff & service was amazing. The rooms felt homey, were very clean but the bathroom was so tiny that u could barely move in it & the door would not stay open to get more night air in. It would be helpful to have a stopper for the door. The location was too far away from the hiking trails in the National Park. Please note that the Lodge is not in the Park, it’s closer to the City of Hinton. No where on Hotels.com site does it say that or it wasn’t clear.

Beautiful rustic Lodge not in the National Park

Rooms could be a bit spacious with space to put your clothes away when you are staying 4 nights like us.  We had to keep them in suitcase.  Also, as it is standard accommodation a desk with chair should be required as I had to work in the evenings and coffee table with armchair with three pillows on is not ideal.  Staff was very accommodating, attentive and courteous.Restaurant beautiful however very pricey with very mediocre food and sub-par ingredients just presented in a nice way.  Folding Mountain Canadian fare restaurant across the street had much better quality items, even though not as fancy menu. Overall, good value for the lodging and surrounding area.

We spent 2 nights at the property. Check in was quick and easy even though we reached the property around 10 pm. It is in a convenient location just outside the Jasper National park. The property is somewhat dated, could use some upgrades. There is a nice overlook patio area for guest and dining room. Even though we did not eat at the restaurant, there are plentiful options.

Nice property with quaint but odd room. Fireplace and 2 easy chairs but no place to place a drink except on the floor. Bathroom sink not in bathroom and very cramped. No sink plug so shaving challenging and water wasteful. Dinner on the open air deck was very nice, but previous breakfast mixed-trad breakfast fine but “healthy” breakfast poor-miniscule amount of granola with past best before date fruit. Small fridge in room worked, needing to ask for water glasses and “borrow” spoons for in-room yogurt (after breakfast fail) not so good. Lack of kitchenette problematic when dining uneven and expensive.

At first we were very upset that the room suited for 4 waa barely bug enough for 2. The paint was chipped  and it was not at all like the pictures.  The fireplace (source of heat) didnt work. But the hotel staff tried to fix it immediately  and when it wouldnt work they upgraded us to a much bigger  suite  which is beautiful  and  very comfortable.  The front desk staff Catherine  is outstanding  and made our trip a beautiful  experience.

We stayed at this hotel in September 2022 for 3 nights & enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is about 30 mins drive from Jasper itself, so the location may put some people off because of the extra driving needed to reach Edith Cavell Meadows, Medicine Lake etc, but for us we didn't mind at all. 

It actually worked out well for us because unfortunately wild fires had left Jasper without any electricity so not very many places were open, whereas power was still on in the Overlander.

The hotel itself is rustic but in a nice way with a big open fire that they sometimes light in the evenings. It felt very cosy and there were pictures of the hotel when it opened in the 1950s on the walls which added a nice touch of yester year.

All staff were very friendly & the food at the restaurant was excellent (some of the best meals we had on our trip). The only slight downside is that if you are there for more than a couple of nights, the menu doesn't change, so it may get a bit repetitive, but overall the food was top notch & the waiting staff were also very attentive & friendly.

The rooms are a little dated / rustic & the bathroom was small, but we didn't mind too much as hotel itself had great views and for the money in the area, it offered good value.

We would certainly stay again & recommend!
