This is a very nice inn, well appointed room, breakfast is absolutely over the top. Charlie and Patty went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and have us lots of tips on what to see and do in the area.

Fabulous Inn

This charming B&B is highly recommended, very clean and well appointed.  Owners were extremely helpful in suggesting interesting places and parks nearby where we could take our 15 year old grandaughter.  The breakfast was scrumptious...……………will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Experience

My husband and I stayed at Hemingway's for one week in the summer for vacation.  The service was outstanding.  We had breakfast at the B&B each morning and the hosts made home-made quiche and pastries each day.  They also had yogurt and an amazing fruit selection, which was great for me (vegetarian).  The hosts were also extremely helpful in planning activities.  We like hiking and visited Sooke and many of the other areas around Victoria with day hikes. Chuck was knowledgeable and was able to provide us with maps to many of the places we visited.  They also helped us with restaurants and other local attractions. 
The room was great.  We stayed in the Serengeti Suite, which has a king size bed, a sitting area, and kitchen area with a microwave.  The Hemingway suite was the same size and a bit more luxurious, but without the kitchen.  The bathroom was generously sized with all the facilities one would expect. Windows could be left open to allow in the breeze and the sound of the seagulls.
One of my favorite things about this B&B (other than the hosts, which were superb) was the location. It was about a 2 block walk to MacCauley Point, a beautiful walk along the Strait and an old fort.  Saxe Point was also nearby and another nice walk along the water.  I ran at the point several mornings and took some great pics at sunrise and sunset.  I was even able to see seals basking on the rocks right off shore.  It was a great experience and we would definitely return.

Great room, wonderful hosts, access to city and hiking

Very nice rooms, private bathroom and lovely hosts. Price was exceptional considering the location. Breakfast was above expectations. My wife and I highly recommend staying here when visiting Victoria.

Lovely overnight stay.

This is a lovely B&B with Charles and Patty being excellent hosts. It is close to the ocean and Macauly Point is well worth exploring with its naval history and its role post Peral Harbour. However the B&B is somewhat out of Victoria. We as regular walkers enjoyed the one hour walk into town via the Western sea walk but others may not. Mind you they may not equally have the pleasure of seeing a sea otter as we did on the walk.. Our room was spacious even by North American standards and the breakfast adequate but primarily continental in content.
