Tired Gecko Guesthouse

The owner is very nice and friendly. Me and my friends didn't have much time in Sihanoukville but the guest house was enough to create a great impression. The room was very clean and fully equipped with AC, fan, hot water, etc. However, the guest house was next to a live music club and this might be a disadvantage of it. It was fine by us though. In short you should definitely stay here if you visit Sihanoukville!

I stayed in Tired Gecko a couple of times and here are a few reasons why I always come back: Clean rooms, comfy beds with a good mattress, Size of the room, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and the bathroom (hot shower). The owner David is very friendly and even lets me stay when I'm having my dog with me. There are good bars and restaurants close by and it's close to the ferry. In one word: Perfect.

Great guest house!!!

Great place to stay the night

In morning whilst having a shower the water ran out.

9pm, there's no electricity!

Can't even meet the basics expected of a guest house.

My first and last time staying here.
Didn't even clean the room on the second day and refill the water bottle, tissue paper, change towels etc...

So why isn't the second day room price cheaper if u didn't even care to provide the free water bottle and change towels, clean room etc..!

Nobody at the reception area during Check-out at 7.40am.

Never again

We spent a night here..the guy who’s driving the place is gentle, but place need a real refresh.. just 500 m from peer to reach the islands and from the first beach of the city
good stay for one night, maybe no more..

Could be better

I am sorry guys, but after my today's stay at your place with my little daughter I have to give you a very bad reference so others know what to expect. The guesthouse itself is very nice and clean, comfy bed and big bathroom.... but its location is just unbelievable and absolutely unsuitable for a place where you should have a good rest. It is just in the center of all the obviously busy nightlife of Sihanoukville, just next to a maybe rock club and a nightclub.
At 7 pm a rock concert started which seemed to be just next to our bed. Once it finished at 11, a disco took its place and it continued to the early morning hours. And then when we started to think that we could finally get some sleep before our morning bus ride to Phnom Penh, people started to come and go, smashing doors of their rooms. 
Probably the wortst night in my life. I will never ever come back unless you move the otherwise nice hotel to a completaly different place far from the horrific party life of a super weird city Sihanoukville. Glad we spent only a few hours there and can keep a nice memory of beautiful Cambodia.
