We stayed in Visnu for just one night on our way from Koh Rong to Thailand in january 2017. The location is a little far off the centre but tje hotel provided a shuttle. 

The rooms were nicely decorated and spacious. We liked the pool and breakfast was ok. Otherwise everything was nice but we did not sleep much due to some party behind the hotel and after that the cocks started their morning show.

Just one night on our way to Thailand.

My friend and I decided to treat ourself with a stay at a nicer and more luxurious hotel. Even though this hotel is a bit away from the city, the hotel offered free transport to the city and back again, which made it all really easy. The rooms were very cozy and had a great bathroom along with it. The pool area was small, which might be a problem during high season, but it didn't mean anything to us. 
Overall it was a great stay and the staff at the hotel helped us figuring out, what to do with our days there!

Nice stay and kind staff

I was a bit concerned after I booked this hotel I had made the wrong decision but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were terrific, informative and helpful. The free transport service worked a treat.
There are no lunches served during the day but dinner is served for a couple of hours of a night time. Breakfast was lovely with everything catered for - Asian and English dishes.
Pool was clean - towels provided.
Rooms were comfortable and clean.

Pleasantly surprised!

We arrived at the Visnu Boutique Hotel with high hopes after reading about all of the facilities available when we booked it. However, we were disappointed with this so called 4 star hotel. On arrival at around 8pm we were shown to our room which smelt and felt really damp. The bath that I was so looking forward to using after a long journey was brown and filthy with black mound growing on the bath mat. The lamps in the room were broken and the mini bar fridge was switched off so everything in it was warm. We decided as it was late as the hotel was on a very quiet road far from the centre to opt for dinner at the hotel. We looked at a menu and when we went to order we were told that the chef wasn't there so we could only have fried rice - why wasn't this mentioned when the menu was handed to us? So we then asked them to drop us in to town to get some food, which they did begrudgingly. We didn't get a good nights sleep due to the monkeys jumping around on the metal roof outside the back of our room, although this wasn't the hotels fault. The next day we went to have the inclusive breakfast at around 8.30 to find there was absolutely nothing cooked left except for a couple of fried eggs that looked like they had been there a couple of hours. They had no intention of refuelling the cooked breakfast buffet so we settled for fresh fruit and toast. The pool looked clean and had we had been staying longer I would have liked to have used it. However, there were only 6 sun beds available that were all taken by 9am. 

When we arrived we asked the hotel if they could help us book a ferry to Ko Rong Sanloem for the following day which the man on reception said he would look at but wasn't keen as the beach we were going wasn't a stop on the ferry they had advertised in reception. The next day the guy had done nothing about it and we had to start again with a new receptionist who did call around and get it booked for us after some hassle. 

I had high expectations for this hotel and was disappointed in the room, the cleanliness, the service and the location. 

Disappointing 

In addition to the great included breakfast, the staff provided extremely convenient shuttle service to the nearby Otres Beach and to the ferry pier. Although we were rushed on a tight schedule, the staff found a way to help us get our laundry done. The room was nice and clean and the bathroom was beautiful. Couldn't have asked for a better stay at this price!
