The best thing about this hotel is it’s location. It’s within walking distance of pub street and all the markets. The staff are friendly and very helpful. They helped us organise our tours and drivers. Absolutely can’t recommend their tuk tuk drivers enough, they are so sweet and kind. The breakfasts were good, but I wouldn’t eat dinner at the restaurant, it’s pretty basic and there are so many places close by that have amazing food. The biggest issue for me was the bathroom. It was more of a wet room with no actual shower. It would be fine for a few nights stay but it took a while for the hot water to work and the shower head wasn’t fixed to the wall properly so it kept falling to the side. It looks a little more luxurious in the photos than what it actually is (the outside and pool area are accurate and look lovely) but maybe we just got a mediocre room and others are nicer.

Great location and staff but lacking in areas

The room is nice, staff friendly, food restaurants good, cleaning everyday. They have tour hepl us to booking have pick up service transfer back. The Tuk Tuk driver he really good very very take care. The price of the room is not expensive very near walk only 5minute.

Travelling

For a start the staff didn’t not speak much English. Them they put us in a room that was the worse hotel room I’ve ever seen. It was darl and look like they need to finish the repairs. Absolutely disgusting and disappointing. The walls were dirty. The bathroom looks like an old kitchen. If you open the curtain it look like you were in a prison. Would never recommend even for 1 night.

The worse experience in hotel

Stayed here for 14 days while in Siem Reap. Had a really good time. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is very clean and the room we stayed in was big.

The food served at the hotel was also very good with a mix for western and Khmer.

The pool is very nice and a must for a relaxing dip to cool you down after a day out in the heat. 

Location is very good the Art Night Market is about 5-8 min walk and Pub Street is about 12-15 min walk. 

Big thank you to Van and all his staff for a great stay, and if we are ever back in Siem Reap we will consider staying here again.

Great 14 Night Stay

Stayed here with my mum. On arrival was told they had booked our room out to another couple but arranged a room with two beds for us. This turned out to be one bed and a cot (which was hard as a rock and wouldn't have been suitable for a whole week). Asked to change rooms, they refused, asked for a refund, they refused. Eventually they agreed to give us a room with 2 real beds if we stayed one night in the other. 

Of the two rooms we saw, they were nothing like the pictures, all the personality has been taken out of them. Grey walls & bad patch jobs, no artwork in the rooms. Some of the furniture is gone; We had to boil the kettle on the floor as the table was removed. Our Safe was a wooden box with no key. They had no toiletries or soap, beds were made everyday but we would often have to go & ask for things like toilet paper, towels or water as they forgot to replace these a lot. 

We had no hot water for 3 days & we lost power 4 times while I was there. This seemed to be regular in Siem Reap although all other hotels in the street had back up generators. When we lost the power we had no water at all & day one it was out for over 8 hours. 

The food was okay but they kept running out of items and didn't replace them. Eventually they only had 6 things on the lunch menu. It was nice that the breakfast was included although the toast was half a loaf of untoasted white bread. Great if you like eggs though, fried, scrambled or omelettes, your pick as long as its eggs. Honestly I probably wouldn't stay here again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 days in a superior king room, we had breakfast included. It was amazing, the room, the staff the view- all great! Only thing that we could point out as negative is that the toilet tank was making some noises (due to plumming I guess). But we got used ot it, so it was Ok. Breakfast was really nice, especially 'cause with every meal you get a plate of fresh fruit which gives you all the energy you need for the day! We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

3 day stay

On the 30th August, 2018, I booked via Booking.com a room for my granddaughter and friend, from 18/11/18-22/11/18 at Seda Villa, Siem Reap.
My family had stayed there twice and hence knew the Hotel especially, with its close proximity to Pub Street.  She travelled from Fiji  Islands , the South Pacific, and it was her graduation present.   The Manager picked them up from the  Airport and did not say a word and just took them to their  sister Hotel.   Not a word of apology . Just said , we are renovating and are putting you in a different hotel .
The point being, the sister Hotel is a 15 minutes tuk tuk ride to Pub street and a 30 minutes walk.
The Receptionist Kall Vibot, had my email address and also my Whatsapp number and yet did not contact  me to let me know, that Seda Villa was not available for those dates. He surely had plenty of time  to give me an option ! 
In simple terms, they wanted my money and that was that.
Truly poor form !!.  When you just arrived from overseas , you have to accept whatever booking there was for a 4pm arrival , coupled with the fact that, I would have been penalized for my credit card booking if my granddaughter kicked up a fuss  and cancelled. 
So they were stucked !
I wanted my grandaughter and friend to be able to walk to the restaurants and bars near Pub Street.

Whereas , Cyclo Hotel and Bar in Phnom Pehn was different, they were also renovating but they emailed me to advise me in Oct , so Booking.com offered my granddaughter  and friend an alternative  hotel.  
That is the way to treat potential clients and  not Seda Villa’s way..



Deviousness of Management

My partner and I had a great stay at Seda Villa. We loved Siem Reap and ended up adding an extra 3 nights to our stay. Complimentary pick up from the bus station and they organised our Angkor Wat and floating village day tour with Kosal who was a great guide! The room is large and is cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Breakfast was delicious- best we’ve had in SE Asia on our travels! Swimming pool was lovely to cool off and it gets a lot of sun throughout the day, after our tour day we had a lovely relaxing few days. The staff are amazing! All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming, they each will go out of their way to help you. Special mention to Kall and Sothearin who were on reception during our stay, thank you for all your help and kindness. Kall helped us with our ongoing travel and lots of printing we had to do plus anything else we need - an asset to the hotel thank you!
