VS Sweet Home

We started our family holiday in Cambodia with 2 nights at VS Sweet Home. After 2 nights we wished we had booked for longer. Panha and his family were an absolute delight and couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome and at home. The rooms were spotless and beds comfortable. Breakfast was simple but perfect for the humid weather. The girls particularly loved the green bananas and my husband and I the local coffee. Panha helped us with SIM cards, navigation around the city using the local tuk tuk app and so much more. He and his neighbor told us interesting stories about the history of Cambodia. Although we also stayed in 5 star hotels on our trip to Cambodia VS Sweet Home was definitely a highlight.

The home is great a really taste of a Cambodian family , the owner could not have done enough to help us.
We could not get a tour to the genocidal centre and the killing fields so he took us there himself and waited outside to take us back.
The rooms are spacious and clean.
The whole family are very friendly and accommodating.
We would highly recommend this property.

Panha has gone above and beyond to provide a spotless (and I mean impeccable) standard of homestay for his guests. The king room is very spacious and comfortable. His home is easy to get to via tuk tuk (via google maps), neighborhood is safe and once inside, you will be very impressed.
Panha picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at the PO for our minivan transfer to SR. He also drove us to The Killing Fields and S-21 as a day outing. Breakfast was provided (including fresh fruit) and we also had a great home cooked lunch and dinner.

The place is a bit difficult to find but we were welcomed as kings by the owner. When we got hungry in the evening, he went with us and helped with the street food. In the morning the breakfast was ready at the exact time we said we were going to be ready (and it was really good!). 


Panha and his family have a few rooms in their multi-level home available. Ours was the biggest family room for 3 and it was huge. Bathroom had slanted wall over toilet which made for interesting stances for my men! He has a rooftop where we chilled/talked one night while drinking his strong wine! My husband tried EVERYWHERE to find a certain item to buy to no avail. However, Panha went out of his way to find it for him. Apts. are not central, but are in a quiet location. We didn’t take advantage of his meals (we’re vegan), but others there did. His coffee was very tasty. I would highly recommend staying there!

This is a great place to stay for anyone who wants to experience a warm, helpful welcome from a lovely Cambodian family.
The room I stayed in was spacious and had a good-sized balcony and super, modern bathroom.
Panya, the owner, speaks good English and is really keen to make your stay as good as he can.
I think that this would also be a lovely place for a family to stay as Panya’s son speaks good English too.
A fantastic introduction to Cambodia.

Panha was amazing. He went out of his way to help me set off for a cycle tour, and made me feel welcome in Phnom Penh. I can't remember meeting such a genuinely good and kind person in a long time. 

All the normal things (room, shower, bed, breakfast) are great, but what makes this special is Panha and his family. I really hope to stay here again. 



VS Sweet Home is a small but clean and comfortable Homestay in Phnom city. There is only 3 room and host owner Panha like to take care guest so much it seems like. He can cook light meals at our lunch(there is only local restaurant around) and arrange us city tour by his car. The next day, he recommend us to go cycling tour by crossing Mekong river by ferry. It was very amazing experience to visit quiet authentic country side area near Phnom Penh city. At night, Panha organized small party for friendship between us at roof top private sky bar of Homestay.
It's bit far from city center and foreigner area at river side, but there is a bus stop of city bus in walking distance（5min）.
Many cruise boat departure from river side near VS Home stay and there are many cruise tours. Not only sunset/ night cruise tour with dinner course, there are tours to go far distance like go to Oudong and countryside of Bassac river.
Thank you Panha for good experience in Cambodia.
VS sweet home is new and cool design, but just bit hard to go to 3rd floor by steep stairs.
l want come back here with my friend at his birthday and cerebrate with my Cambodian new friends.
