Aircon didn't work properly, blowing warm air; bedsheets were obviously used and dirty; hair everywhere, stains, ripped blankets, same with the towels. Dirty walls covered with stains and dust everywhere. Not to mention the water tap that was louder, than a fan, you can hear how people use the water tap, which sounds like a barking dog🐕. And please be careful with your belongings you leave in the room! 

12$ per night - not bad, but for the same price or a little more you can find a way better place to stay!

Terrible stay! Avoid this place!

Chose this place as it seemed like a good cheap price- but you definitely get what you pay for. Room was liveable but dirty, cobwebs and dirt over the walls. Bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while- there was hair shavings from previous people that hadn't been cleaned. No hot water (which we were used to) and wifi basically non exsistent in the room (worked okay downstairs). The staff however were very friendly and helpful- not an awful location, right next to the S21 museum and walk away from a few good restaurants- and tuktuk ride away to anything else (not really walkable). Overall was an average stay but there are probably better places in Phnom Penh.

Okay but not a great stay

Room was okay sheets although washed are so old they. still look dirty. bathroom is a bit in a disarray bin needs cleaning at least. but water pressure is good. Fan worked well in my room but you get what you pay for.

Sheets need to be changed

For the very little money you pay for a night here I suppose it is good value. The air-con worked and shower pressure was good.

There is construction work taking place next door from early morning until evening and when they stop, 3 dogs will take over and non stop bark into the early hours of the morning (no exaggeration). TAKE EAR PLUGS.

It’s also a short walk to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum from here.

Value for £ but very basic

Brought 11 Hampshire Scouts here as part of our Cambodia Expedition. 

Firstly on arrival despite showing our online booking form they had no record of our booking. 
The rooms they provided us were ok but not great - below average I would say; comparing them to other hotels we have stayed in for the same price. 

The beds all had dirty/stained sheets, towels were not clean. One of our rooms kept losing electricity & another other was provided with an extension lead that kept sparking. 
Wifi was not great, kept dropping. There is building work going on next to the hotel so constant noise & dust. 

We didn't eat at the hotel but went to a local place round the corner (tuk tuk cafe/hostel) for breakfast which was nice and then eat dinner up near the river bank. 

Expect tuk tuk drivers to have no idea where the hotel is - we ended up saying Tuol Sleng museum and then either directing them or walking from there. Cost us about $2 per tuk tuk.

Cheap is what you get with this place. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad place, but neither is it a great place.

Sandwiched between several huge construction projects the place is dominated by construction noices and enourmous amount of dust. The smell outside in the restaurant is occassionally really bad, which forced us to eat in our room.

The place looks okay, but closer inspection reveals really stripped down guesthouse. Lamps don't work, toilet did not have any paper, food is expensive and poorly made, uncleaned places, torn sheets and bad secondary pillows and the place is loud as there is no sound proofing at all. There are plenty of small details that degrade this places image as a whole. Bathroom door could not be closed at all etc...

But for the price it works quite well. Wifi is one of the best I've seen in guesthouses. Staff, while seem a bit incompetent at times, at least try their best and are friendly. The basic things are covered well all around so you get what you need to get and can move on.

In no way is the place a nightmare, just really really average. If you don't have high standards there is no reason to completely ignore this place. If you do mind small details, want to sleep long and want polished cleanliness this is not a place for you at the moment.
