Beautiful facility, very kind staff. A nice bar/restaurant with a lovely view of the sunset. The property organizes a boat trip to see dolphins. 
My boyfriend and I stayed two days and they were wonderful. Highly recommend. Love love love love

Le Tonle is a great little guesthouse and well worth a visit! 

The atmosphere is good and the cause of the place is great (helping young people in the area). 

So, Le Tonle is a special place. 

The staff is smiling, friendly and attentive and the food in the restaurant is well worth  try and very tasty.

The rooms are clean, spacious, have comfortable beds (not too hard and not too soft), a small but well equipped and decent bathroom (hot water, with shampoo, soap and a comb) and overall are well worth the money. The rooms come with a chair, table, air conditioning, a bottle of water (refill, so also thought about), a hairdryer and water cooker.

I think that a bit of information in the rooms about the projects would be welcome, but that's just a side note for the management and maybe already planned. 

If you are on your way to the 4000 Islands (Don Som is worth a visit) in Laos or just came from Laos, consider staying at Le Tonle and explore Kratie. It's worth a visit (the island in front of Kratie, Koh Trong, as well).

A fantastic hotel, the staff were so helpful and kind. 
The rooms were wonderful and the view of the Mekong from the shared balcony was incredible - a great place to watch the sunset.

The room was so comfortable. A really comfortable bed with quality bedding, good working aircon and really quiet. Both nights of our stay we had a fantastic sleep. The bathroom is spacious enough and the shower is great - loads of hot water with good water pressure. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The only disappointing thing was that the restaurant is no longer open due to COVID and lack of tourist, however there is a Khmer restaurant on the corner of the street that did great food and open really early for breakfast should you need to be on the road early.  We also rented good mountain bikes for $3 each and did a 30km cycle through the villages and surrounding areas. Overall a great guesthouse.

We booked a few days before arriving and loved the stay here. The staff were friendly and couldn’t help enough. To know that we are helping the local community as a training hotel for the locals to learn hospitality was great. Our twin room was very clean and the shared bathroom also. Free water and quick wifi for $9 per night for our twin was a bargain... look this place up if you’re staying in Kratie

Fantastic stay all around! The room and toilet are clean. The bed is massive and comfortable. The food they serve is delicious! The best however are the staff: incredibly friendly and accommodating! Could not have wished for a better experience!

when we first arrived we were welcomed with iced tea. The food was delicious and the beds were very comfy. i would 100% recommend this place to stay. Its close to the town and the market, with a laundry place around the corner!! great location and great service.

Le Tonle is an excellent place to stay in an interesting part of Cambodia.  The area is far less touristy than many of the primary thoroughfares of tourism in the country.  Also the staff are truly friendly and an excellent chance to really get to know and interact with local Cambodians.

As soon as you arrive you are made to feel so welcome. The building is a great design - with open area on the ground floor and rooms on the floors above. 

Staff helped me with my bags (mind the steps are very steep) and showed me to my room. It’s a great size. The AC works (and is much needed at this time of year) and the view from the guest balcony across the Mekong is stunning. 

Le Tonle is undergoing refurbishment at the moment but it doesn’t interrupt your stay at all. 

It’s a truly lovely and local guest house with a plethora of great restaurants in walking distance too. 

I should add the WiFi is super fast too. I was in Kratie for work so this made my life much easier too.

Together with 25 other Anglo-Thai Society members, my wife and myself visited Le Tonle Tourist Training Centre at Kratie this morning.

Our tour took in the Restaurant, Guest House Reception and the Travel Tours Office and it was very good to see how young Cambodians were being helped (receiving a range of training often leading to employment either locally or in Phnom Penh or Seam Reap) such a good initiative. 

All in all a most enjoyable visit - certainly one Inshoukd recommend to others.

Great guesthouse and great projects

A truly local guesthouse well worth staying at.

A large, comfortable, spotless room  - we had the best sleep!!

Lovely place to stay

Excellent Initiative.

Le Tonle is a really good guesthouse run by a great organization. We were in the family room on the ground floor, which was a bit dark and slightly damp, but clean, comfortable and great value. The travel agency is a bit disorganized so be patient if you’re asking them to book a dolphin tour or onward journey. The restaurant is great. We were very happy staying here.

Worthwhile place to stay

The rooms are nice enough and feel cosy. We ended up in a room with no window or rather a useless one as it faces a wall. Also we could hear every step.
 of the upstairs neighbours.  The only place to put your stuff on is one chair and a table. So more hooks and racks or sth would be nice. Take your earplugs with you if you're a light sleeper as the roosters wake up as of 4-5am.  The reception staff doesn't really speak English

Satisfactory 

Along with the restaurant next door, Le Tonle is a training establishment. This means all their staff who work here are from a poor or impoverished background. These types of hotels and restaurants give them a job and teach them about how  hospitality industry works including customer expectations in the west.

Le Tonle is staffed by incredibly attentive and lovely staff. On our arrival they just produced 2 cups of iced tea as they could see we were hot and showed us to our room with a fan and aircon very quickly.

The accommodation itself is not 3 or 5 star if you judge it by western standards, but it is functional and clean. They make up the rooms everyday - unless you put your "Do not disturb" sign on your door handle. Noise wise the area is generally quiet, though do expect to hear the sounds of other guests above if you're in a ground floor room. The ceilings are wooden and noise carries as we know.

Other than that, Le Tonle is a great little place to stay when visiting Kratie and can help you book buses and tours using the tourism office opposite the main check in desk.

Sadly I was ill for most of my stay due to some bug I picked up in Sen Monoram prior to our arrival. On the plus side for Le Tonle, it gave me ample opportunity to become very familiar with our room. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was big. My only minor criticism was the speed at which the shower water drained - I did report it to the front desk and they tried to unblock it, but as you know; Cambodian pipes are not the biggest or best in the world so water tends to drain slower anyway. 😅

If you're looking for a reasonably priced place to stay for a few nights with adequate facilities, comfortable bed and excellent staff, you could do far worse then Le Tonle.
