Great place to stay! The rooms are nice and very clean! And the best they're cheap too! :-) I stayed in a 6 bed dorm with a/c and a big, clean bathroom! The owner and the staff are super warmly!!! There won't be a understanding problem as Jack comes from Switzerland and of course he speaks fluent English ;-) Here u can get yummy food and the best Ice Coffee!!! On the top washing of 1kg laundry a day for free! I highly can recommend this place and would always return!

Such a. Friendly atmosphere from the people we met there and the people who run the hostel. They gave us a great help with transport onwards, with trips and restaurants nearby. The dorm rooms were basic just mattresses on the floor but for a dollar more you can get a bed dorm room but for the price you are paying in Phnom Penh you will struggle to find somewhere as cheap with such nice staff and only a short walk away from all the action down the water front. Would recommend if you are on a budget was a great. 

We had a lovely time here, recommended by a friend! It was quiet when we stayed here, but it's nice and small so everyone chats to everyone it has a good atmosphere. We stayed in the basic form, no AC but a private fan and socket. It was a great temperature at night. Beds were on the floor but very comfortable. The owners were lovely and organised us a tour to the killing fields and prison. They booked our bus for us when we moved on and got up early to make us breakfast before we left! Very sweet.

Great place to stay! 

Very up and coming 

Lovely and quiet place, very helpful

The dorm is basic with a decent mattress on the floor. No door for the dorm. Happy to have plugins, fan, and mosquito net for each bed. Constantly have to fix the fitted bed sheet because the sheet easily shifts when moving on the bed. Bathrooms are spacious, but I assume not enough showers if the hostel is full. People would walk into the bathroom with their outdoor shoes and hence the wet floor would often be dirty. The cleaning lady did a good job cleaning every day though. The kilo free laundry per day is amazing and first time I've encountered this service.

My biggest frustration was with the Swiss receptionist. I would often feel judged and like I was disturbing him with my questions. Even when other guests would ask him basic questions, I could hear him grunt. He is also not very open with providing information, especially if it's about booking tours, buses, or visas through alternative options besides the one he offers. He doesnt smile nor apologize, ever. No maps provided. Not even a simple printed one. I also don't like how he spoke and interacted with the cleaner/cook. Very rude. 

Talking about food. We ordered 2 things separate times and both came out wrong. The lemon ice tea had no lemon. Which was fixed in an annoyed manner. The breakfast had one of the toasts with beans and egg missing. Mostly because of bad communication with cook. When the toast came out, we pointed out that one set was missing. The lady, who possesses minimal English, didn't understand. So, when we alerted the receptionist, he waived us off stating that she must still be cooking the other one. Needless to say, she was not. And when our tuktuk for the bus came early, we didn't have time to wait for her to start the other. At least he didn't make us pay, but no apologies for their mistake. 

Overall, this hostel has all the basics for probably the cheapest price available so close to the tourist attractions. Going here is not a bad choice if you're not relying on customer service.

Besides getting ill during my time in phnom Penh, the experience could hard have been any better due to the nomads hostel. The place is a dump. In the room I slept in, the walls were stained and the room was overrun with mosquitos. To add to that, the owner was a rather unsavoury character. The bar / common area was located in the same space that he frequented. Perhaps this explains the lack of atmosphere there. His presence is enough to disinsentivise any traveller from hanging out. Apart from that, the killing fields are an interesting place to visit to get an understanding of Cambodia's history. I wouldn't spend too long in Phnom Penh though!
