Encore Angkor Villa & Residence

We stayed here for about 3 nights in the month September. We were welcomed warmly by the guestlady. We got some wet towels to refresh and a nice fruit juice. Then she showed us the rooms, these were clean, large and the beds were good. For our trips, to the temples of Angkor Wat and to the city of Siem Reap we had a friendly and helpfull driver for only a small extra charge. As there were bikes available, we visited some of the locals and we also did a trip to the city. We got helpfull tips about what to visit, and as we were travelling across Cambodia and afterwards to Thailand, we got help on the matters of further transportation as well. The service during our stay was impeccable. When we came back from the trips, fresh towels were layed out by the swimming pool immediatly so we could relax. We also got refreshments and snacks everyday, for example some spring rolls or cookies. The environment in general was also beautiful. On the domain there is a pond, a lot of trees, it is a place were you can come to rest. Even when we got up a bit later, we could still enjoy a wonderfull breakfast. Fresh fruit directly from the garden, eggs, bacon, toasts and dumplings were available. To end this review I would like to thank the guestlady, her husband and the whole staff who made our stay so pleasant. I would certainly reccomend the Encore Angkor to everybody who's planning to stay in Siem Reap. Greetings Thibault
