If you’re looking for a peaceful escape from the bustle of Sihanoukville, Naiya Sea Resort at Otres Beach is a hidden gem worth considering. I was invited by the owner to stay and, as someone who already gravitates toward this area, it was an easy decision to accept. Otres Beach offers a rare combination of seclusion, stunning walkable beachfronts, and nearby gems like the Brown Coffee shop, which boasts one of the best views in the country. Naiya Sea Resort fits perfectly into this serene environment with its unbeatable location directly across from the beach. The hotel itself has a comfortable, no-frills charm. While it could use some updates, it has all the essentials for a relaxing stay. My room, Room 30, was impressively spacious, featuring a quirky yet functional layout with the toilet and shower in separate rooms—a design I’ve only encountered a handful of times. The balcony was a highlight, offering fantastic views of the beach and the surrounding tranquility. One delightful touch was the availability of sun hats for guests, perfect for lounging by the pool or on the beach. It’s thoughtful details like this that elevate the experience. The breakfast was decent, the amenities were solid, and the overall atmosphere was calm and inviting. The staff were pleasant and prepared for my arrival, adding to the smooth and enjoyable stay. Nights were quiet, and the peaceful surroundings ensured a good night’s sleep. If you’re planning a visit to Sihanoukville but prefer to escape the chaos, Naiya Sea Resort is a great option. Comfortable, well-located, and with direct access to Otres Beach, it’s a spot I’d happily return to. Highly recommended!
