We got picked up by an incredibly cheerful chap in a Tuk Tuk from our bus station which the guesthouse organised (for free). We used our Tuk Tuk driver (Chung) for next few days to explore the Angkor complex- he was excellent, always on time, found us in crowds and reasonable price. The manager (Malis) at the surmetta was outstanding. She couldn't have done anymore for us; we're on a two month Asia trip and half way through, this is the best service we have received from anywhere by far. Found us a brilliant tour guide (Leak- [email protected]) who I would very highly recommend. Let us use a shower even though we had checked out. Gave us great tips on things to visit and restaurants and always had a smile. The surmetta itself is clean, it's by no means luxury but we found good value for money with A/C and a great location- 10 minute walk to the old market and night market. Will certainly come again if in town.
