Stayed 12/29 - 01/02. This hotel gets some negative reviews which I think are unrealistic. Having stayed twice, in my opinion, for the prices charged, the services provided are more than adequate. The rooms are spacious and have good airconditioning. The housekeeping service is quick and good. Front desk staff are very good at offering tour advice or recommending local spots. Extremely cheap laundry (very good) right next door. Airport pickup service is great. A huge plus is the location. You can walk almost everywhere central from here, allowing you to ignore the serenade of the ubiquitous tuk tuks. Loads of restaurants and bars nearby, but just enough off the main streets to be quiet.
