Tropical Villa Siem Reap

Sometimes when choosing a hotel in the internet you can be disappointed with your choice when you arrive at your destination. But NOT if you choose this hotel! Mohai far exceeded my expectations! FYI: they recently changed the name of the hotel to: Big K Angkor Residence 1. The staff was great! Helpful, considerate and really concerned about the comfort of your accommodations. 2. The hotel is housed in an older building but it is in excellent repair and has an atmosphere and charm that you don't find in newly constructed facilities. 3. Conveniently located near markets, nightlife, restaurants and financial services. 4. A short commute by tuk tuk, van or taxi to the premier attractions in the area. Mainly Angkor Wat and the the other temple sites. 5. There is a beautiful and well maintained pool area. The room I had was very spacious and very clean. A shower with on-demand hot water. There is the expected flat screen TV, WiFi, daily bottled water and breakfast was included. The housekeeping staff was also friendly and flexible based on my schedule. I have lived in China for several years and traveled in east and southeast Asia quite a bit and stayed in a number of hotels. This hotel is in my top 2 favorites of all time! If I return to the area I will definitely stay here again and I can recommend it without reservation. The price point was excellent. A excellent value for an inexpensive, high quality establishment.
