Very aromatic flavours
Enjoyed 4 dishes along with best fresh spring rolls. Good variety from seafood to chicken to vegetarian. Service is excellent with a good range of non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages at reasonable prices


Stayed in a triple room. Very basic room with 3 single beds, a TV and a wardrobe. The bathroom is very big. I would not say the room is superbly clean or comfortable (The room I'm in has a malfunction fan and the air-con is not having the right power). Breakfast is a bit small in portion for me as there were only one egg, one small sausage, one sliced of bread and toast and a croissant. I guess that's what I get for what I paid.
However, all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The patience they showed and the smiles they put on were exceeding expectation. A satisfying stay with the price I paid.

Delicious 

Stayed at Khmer cuisine for 2 nights. Staff were very friendly. Arranged a pick up through b&b for our arrival by bus. A guy called mr Sina on a tuk tuk named the red rocket picked us up. We arranged a tuk tuk through the hotel to see ankor wat the next day. We were picked up by the same tuk tuk the red rocket. We did a small tour which was fine to see the main temples. Mr Sina was very helpful and informative. He guided us to each with some basic information. His English was very good and we also shared a joke. He was always smiling. He advised us each time where he would be waiting. When we can out looking for him he was always where he said and he was too looking out for us. It was a very hot day and mr Sina was very nice and gave us some cold water from his fridge on board. This was very much appreciated. If you do a tour by tuk tuk through Khmer cuisine ask for me Sina on the red rocket. B&b room was very basic. Bathroom very basic but judged on price it did the job. B&b is a a bit of a walk from the main strip of pub street and markets. Walkable but takes about 20 mins. Breakfast was a choice of continental or American. We only had continental which was adequate. Would perhaps look at hotel nearer main streets if had to choose again 


Pleasant for price 

We booked this based on Trip Advisor reviews and photos. If you want somewhere cheap and don't care how clean the rooms are or dirty old bathrooms where you have a showerhead by the door then this place is for you.

We saw in 3 different rooms in our 3 nights - the first was room 6 which we immediately refused to stay in as the bathroom was tiny and the "shower" was an old showerhead located next to the doorway! Then room 7 which was a twin room - same problems except the shower was in the corner not by the door so we settled on it. We were initially told we could stay all 3 nights in room 7 but were later told we had to move on the last night due to the hotel being "fully booked". We argued about room 6 so were shown room 10 which was the same as room 7 but a double bed. 

Pros:
-located round the corner from Marum restaurant which we tried and is absolutely excellent
-free pickup from airport / bus station
-drop off to airport arranged for $3
-they let us use their printer to print off some tickets we needed
-free one way tuktuk to town between 6-10pm (although one night we saw a couple get told there was no tuktuk that night) 
-the temple tour we arranged through them was good, driver was very friendly and provided us water and showed us all the famous temples plus some great smaller peaceful ones
-the staff seem to be trying
-the aircon worked
-it was dirt cheap - £14 per night for 2 people

Cons:

-rooms not cleaned properly (see photos)
-bathrooms dirty, black mould between tiles, old and outdated without proper showers (we didn't see any bathtubs like in the photos)
-no evidence of the food or restaurant displayed in photos on trip advisor- the breakfast was limited and decidedly average and small with poor coffee, watery squash style juice, stale bread, very salty eggs.
-we were woken up early every morning by wailing / fighting cats and a mechanical sound despite having our windows shut
-located far away from nightlife, restaurants and markets - about 20 to 30
mins walk
-the fact the place just doesn't look like it comes across in photos at all

Don't go by the management photos on here!

I can't believe that most of the reviewers stayed in the same hotel as us. As you can see by our photos we didn't have the glowing experience everyone else describes.

When we arrived to check in we were told that the room wasn't ready and we should come back in a couple of hours which was ok with us as we were early. We filled out all the paperwork and went off for something to eat.

When we arrived back at the hotel, the same person who had dealt with us earlier asked us what we were there for and had totally forgotten us ! He then told us that the room still wasn't ready after much conversation with his colleagues and we were sat down with a drink and told to wait.

So we waited and waited and there was much muttering and looking at us and I am now convinced that they had overbooked the hotel and had to sort it out.

We got shown to "our" room at 4pm. It was not at all like the pictures and the bathroom was terrible. Now we have been in a lot of cheap hotels during the past 18 months and we have never had a bathroom like this-it was tiny, dirty and had nothing going for it. The toilet back was unstable, bathroom products were all from another hotel and had been refilled and refilled (loads of gung around the tops). There was mold and filthy caulking everywhere.

We looked out the curtains and came face to face with a person on the roof hanging up their washing and a landscape of broken furniture and rubbish. So we kept our curtains closed during our 3 night stay.

You had to climb across the bed to get out of it on one side, there wasn't anyroom at all to hang things up besides a coat stand. 

There was a fan vent facing the bathroom which you had to leave on all the time as if you turned it off mosquitos would come in as it was pen to the exterior, there was no mesh backing on it.

The tv had a blue line down the screen which disrupted viewing a bit but compared to the rest it was great !

We asked reception for another room and were told that there wasn't any more available.

The reception also tried to enter our room with an American couple and didn't seen aware that anyone was in there.

Breakfast was small but the food was pleasant. The service was all over the place but at least the girls tried.

I can't recommend this hotel and would suggest paying a few more dollars and elsewhere.
