Heng Heng Hotel 2

Heng Heng II was the perfect spot for my two day stay in Kratie; extremely helpful, well mannered and cheerful staff, a super tightly run ship, clean well priced rooms, excellent riverfront location next to many restaurants, etc. Laundry, motorbike rental and onward travel logistics options were also all done in tip top fashion. Definitely my fave pic for a return visit to this lovely little town. In response to some of the erroneous, negative comments in some people’s reviews: To the reviewer who complained about a lack of toilet paper (“An advice, remember to bring toilette paper; we booked two rooms and none of them, had it.”); it was missing in mine also. Miracle of miracles, all I had to do was ask for it; problem solved immediately... To the reviewer who complained “the owner didn't speak English so used his 8 year old as a translator, fab idea! Only an 8 year old hasn't yet perfected customer service :)” his son during my visit did a fantastic job. *You* are the guest in their country and it’s not the world’s obligation to learn English ffs so roll with it and be glad there was someone (very nice I might add) to help you. What is it with people who expect everyone on the planet to speak English?! (speaking as an American). To the reviewer who complained “The staff is helpfull, but a little too pushy and controling. e.g. where do you go today, what will you do tomorrow. We felt like we always had to explain where we are heading (just like when I lived with my parents back home).” Guess what; that’s the norm in SE Asia, just like asking “are you married, do you have children”, etc. They’re just trying to make conversation and yes, maybe seeing if they can help you and in the process make a few extra bucks. No foul and lighten up.
