Excellent welcome from Christine who had put us in two bedrooms side by side very spacious the place is quiet near the center Christine's advice proved to be very valuable and welcome she arranged for us an express visit because we only stayed two nights the guide driver is extra (david) he will take you to places all as friendly as each other in short we had a very good stay unfortunately too short

Coming back from Siem Reap

From beginning to end everything about my recent four night stay at Sangker Villa was perfect. The kind hospitable owners, Christine and Phillipe and their local Khmer team, were enormously welcoming and clearly go to great lengths to ensure your comfort as a guest. 

I was very kindly given a free room upgrade and my room, number 5 upstairs, was large, bright, airy and meticulously clean. Breakfast (served from 730-930), always a peaceful relaxing affair, served poolside, was absolutely delicious. The warm homemade bread served with homemade jam was amazing as was the ‘Khmer eggs’ option with chilli and onions. Highly recommended! 

An efficient same day laundry service was available (this may be dependent on weather). Christine can also organise motorcycle rental with the motorcycle delivered to the guesthouse for pickup. 

Sangker Villa also run a selection of their own very reasonably priced tuk-tuk tours with reputable local English/French speaking driver/guides. To witness Mother Nature at her most awe inspiring I would highly recommend the $15 afternoon tour that includes a dusk visit to the famous bat cave - truly spectacular! My driver, Bun, was a superb guide and companion for my 5 hour tour.

Location on the more desirable east river bank in a quiet residential area and only a short (10 minute), pleasant, flat stroll into the ‘centre’ is perfect too. 

Sangker Villa was a 'home from home' and Christine and Phillipe are a good advert for the hospitality industry. Without hesitation I would stay here again and I cannot recommend this guesthouse highly enough.

A guesthouse with everything you could wish for.

The villa is very well maintained, the swimming pool is nice, the rooms are clean and well equipped... The villa is also well located, but stays in a quiet little street. The breakfast is good, with very good homemade bread! A very good address with an unbeatable price ratio.

It's a recommended address.

We spent two nights in this lovely guesthouse owned by Christine. A quiet place, beautiful room, everything was perfect! Breakfast was excellent and everything is homemade (bread, jam,...). Christine takes the time to explain everything about places to visit and advise you on the tables to do in the city. We are already planning to return to Battambang and it will obviously be to Sangker Villa!

Very pleasant stay

The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The pool is clean and cute. The breakfast is homemade, healthy, delicious and nicely presented. The location of the hotel is very convenient because it is easy to walk to town beside the river. All and all this guesthouse is a good choice. The owner is attentive and helpful.

Where to go Where to go

A very pleasant stay with Christine an atmosphere of  Like at home  a well-kept, clean, welcoming villa and above all away from the hustle and bustle of the city without being far away. Everything can be done on foot next to restaurant, pagodas, local walking. Comfortable clean rooms with everything you need inside (frigo, A/C, fan, dry hair, drinking water...) a good bedding. Christine will be happy to recommend you the right things to do in the corner or a massage in the lounge. We will return with great pleasure to this little corner of Paradise in Battambang.

Little Nice to Battambang

The rooms were spacious and very well air-conditioned (35/40°C outside): very low climate noise. A very nice little garden was available to us from the entrance. A very high-quality breakfast taken by the pool was a real pleasure: local produce, house bread, excellent garden mangoes, eggs on Khmer-style dishes. Snacking and small quality restaurant (always fresh products) with an organic Sicilian wine that never hurt our skull. And a very warm and professional welcome by Marie-Christine: - examples of our bus tickets to Phnom Penh have been booked and canceled at our request without any worries. - Very good advice for excursions of Battambang days we need to know!

A dream stay

This was the most perfect accommodation in Battambang. A small family run villa with lovely rooms, intimate yet private. Christine is a wonderful host, others very pleasant and helpful. Fabulous spacious room and nice private outdoor area. Good WiFi. Pool perfectly adequate and very pleasant surrounding. Breakfast superb/ the Khmer eggs an absolute must. Battambang itself was very disappointing and lacked any charm whatsoever. Very limited choice of restaurants so recommendations from Sangker Villa much appreciated. The opposite and busier side of the river is depressing so this side is definitely a good choice. Many interesting Buddhist temples. 

Fabulous oasis 

This is a wonderful small guesthouse, just across the river in Battambang. The owners are French, which is noticeable in the breakfast (homemade bread and jam) and small menu. They also serve drinks, ice cream and cocktails. The rooms are impeccably clean. There is a small swimming pool and the location is very quiet! The staff and owners are super helpful. Best hotel we had in Cambodia.
