Kalypso Hotel

I stayed at Kalypso for 4 nights in August 2011. The hotel is sitated in 10 min walking distance to the beach and same distance to the city centre. Primorsko is a small place, so actually almost each hotel there is well situated. You can easily oversee Kalypso in the wood of hotels, so a GPS system in your car is very helpful there. My husband and I took an appartment, and some of our firiends took regular double rooms, so I have seen both. The appartments are spacious, nicely furnished (each of them in a different style), and have AC, TV, minibar and a balcony. The regular rooms have no AC, but in Bulgaria you usually don't need it at night, especially if you keep the curtains closed during the day. Not sure about minibars in regular rooms, I think there were none. All rooms are clean, with comfortable beds and clean linen. If you want your room to be cleaned, you should not forget to put the "please clean the room"- sign at your door in the morning when you leave the room. WiFi is available for free in the restaurant. The signal in the rooms is very low. The hotel does no toffer much luxury (no cosmetic articles in the bathrooms, no washing service) and most of the staff only speak bulgarian. They are helpful nonetheless. My friends did not speak bulgarian, but they always got what they asked for. The best thing about the hotel is the restaurant - Mario, the hotel owner, is a wonderful cook and uses almost exclusively organic bulgarian products. One can taste it definitely! Especially his fish and meat dishes are a real treat!
