Old Town Hotel

A nice little boutique hotel in the center of Vidin. Very polite & friendly owner! The atmosphere at the hotel is unique - man feels like being at an art gallery! The hotel is at the center of the city, 2 min away from the coast of Dunabe! Recommend it to everyone who wants to feel VIDIN!

We spent some days in a wonderful old-town room, enjoying George's homemade breakfast and the friendly staff. George helped us with fixing our bycicles and he even took care of our post-package to Switzerland. The most lovely place in town!

We have stayed again twice on our journey there and back from the UK. The hotel is as good as ever with wonderful hospitality service and so comfortable. George as welcoming as ever and even though the stay is only for one night en route it is a quiet and relaxing place to stay. The wonderful interior décor and atmosphere make it such a memorable place. Right at the heart of the centre of the old town. A few minutes walk to the Danube and the walks in the gardens by the side of the river. Lots of bars and restaurants close by. Hopefully we will be back again in 2019.

We came to see friends and we stayed  in this little family hotel  . Look like we were in early 20 th years the decoration and the atmosphere are from this years and the breakfast  .... you can choose from clásico or continental orrrrrr you can ask for typical Bulgarian breakfast that they can make for you -like (banitza with feta cheese) or ( mekitzi) or ( fried pan with eggs with home made jam or honey ) 
The staff is so friendly and can help you with everything .

We’re a Bulgarian-American family of 5 doing a road trip across Bulgaria, and this hotel was one of the highlights of our trip. It is located directly across from one of the old gates to the city, now leading to the central square. It is just steps from the Danube where there are floating restaurants on boats, and about a 15 minute walk or short drive from the Baba Vida fortress. The atmosphere in the hotel is more like a bed-and-breakfast than a hotel, with many paintings on the walls, decorations and historical items everywhere, high ceilings and ample furnishings, and extremely attentive staff.  The continental breakfast in the breakfast room was extraordinary (see photo).  We were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a rich experience.

We have stayed 2 nights at George's family hotel and can say we truly enjoyed it. Rooms are spacious, decorative and comfortable. Breakfast is either hot or cold and more than we could eat. But what makes this the best hotel is the owner George who went out of his way to make us feel at home. Carrying suitcases, driving us around and reserving a table in the restaurant.
Next time we would like to go fishing with him, as he is the catfish King! 

The hotel is situated in an old building at the very center of Vidin and is a walking distance from everything in the city - the station, the fortress, the river, restaurants, bars, etc.  
  
The interior is interesting on its own - it is an acquired taste and while some might find it lovely, cozy and quaint, others might feel a bit creeped out from some interior elements like dolls or pictures on the wall.  
  
The owner is very friendly and warmhearted. The breakfast is alright, with the breakfast room being the pearl in the hotel's crown. Rooms are spacious and extremely clean, although the hotel is situated in the center, so it is often noisy from outside and the walls are rather thin.

Would definitely recommend this hotel for people that are in Vidin to experience new things.
