This place is a hidden gem, tucked away in a quiet village near Lake Srebarna near the Romanian border. Our host was extremely friendly and welcoming, and went out of his way to accommodate our needs, also working hard single-handed in the kitchen to provide our meals. If you want to experience rustic Bulgaria in basic but comfortable accommodation with plenty of good home-cooked food, this is a great place to stay. We woke up in the morning to the sound of Nightingales singing and woodpeckers drumming in the gardens.
