Pros: - the owners do their very best to offer you something extra that you'd want - the rooms are large enough, VERY clean and without the damp smell I found in other hotels in Bansko, the bathroom is large and the shower doesn't spill all over the floor - The towels and bed linen were changed once every 3 days, more than enough. - the breakfast isn't that varied, but you do have basic good choices to make and the food is TASTY and NOT cheap and overly-artificial (as I've been served in other hotels in Bulgaria) - the restaurant menu is ok. Again, not that varied, but the food is simple and tasty and is served as fast as possible. - free parking - rooms are warm enough (after the first night, at least) In-betweens: - the owners don't speak too much english, but try their best to understand what you're saying. I don't speak Bulgarian, but I can't say I had a problem communicating what I wanted with them. And when the son is there, there's no problem, as he speaks English. - the location isn't 'Ski-in, ski-out'. So if you're expecting that, this isn't the place for you. Me and my fiancee are both fairly athletic and it took us between 9 minutes and 15 minutes daily to get to and from the gondola with snowboarding gear on. If I'd be a skier... I'd take the car to the gondola :) Cons: - the hotel was empty when we got there, so it was cold in the room in the first night. But that got solved with an extra heater in the room. So not that big a minus. - wi-fi is only available in the ground floor and first floor (I couldn't get a signal on the 2nd floor). Not that big a deal, one can always get down a floor. In the end, I can't say this was the best hotel I've ever been to, but it is definitely a great value for money and the owners are really great. I would go back again.
