Elida Family Hotel

Bansko

Hotel Elida was the best choice for this trip. On a great location, just a few minutes walk from many restaurants and shops. Breakfast at the hotel was exceptional, room was very spacious and warm. Our hosts were very nice, friendly and helpful, they really made us feel very comfortable in their family hotel. I highly recommend this hotel, and I am sure I will come back again. I have absolutely no remarks.

Wonderful family hotel

Like home….. very clean, chic, hot …. Big comfortable room. Nice breakfast. Maria and her husband so cute… they helped us for ski rental also… we will stay agsin absolutely…..  you can walk center and gondola very easily… we parked our car in front of the hotel

İdeal place

This lovely, family hotel is the perfect setting for small groups. Off the beaten track, but only a few minutes walk from bars and restaurants, The Eilda Family Hotel is in a great location.
After checking in, staff treated us like friends and offered coffees all round while we settled in and asked about facilities.
The Continental style breakfast is ample to get you started for the day. A free minibus is available at 8.30 and 9am to take you to the gondola.
With free wifi, a jacuzzi and a sauna, you'd be very hard pushed to get better value for money. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Great showers!
George and his family are very friendly and professional. Always at hand to deal with enquiries, ready with a smile.

Wonderful, homely feel

Really nice place to stay and good service for its money . Breakfast was lovely , staff very friendly . One thing they could improve is adding payment by card on reception . I’ve had to look for ATM straight away on arrival so I can pay them .

Clean tidy and quiet hotel

We were there with our friends and we Felt like home. The manager help us to rent the ski and he was very friendly . It s 5 8 mins walk from telegondola. Great place. 5 stars. Everything was perfect perfect. Thank you.

I was there with my wife for 4 night and i feel like home. Everithing was perfect. Good location, very clean and cozy, good breakfast, very friendly staff. I will go again there everytime i go to Bansko. Highly recomended!

The people were great and polite!! The location was perfect!! Near to the old town. It is ideal for couples but for families too. Everything was perfect!! It is recommended!! Thank you!! See you next time!!     

Perfect Hotel

Very good value for money. Very new with sauna & jacuzzi & heated ski storage included. Well run, very clean, very good omelette in mornings. Always helpful. It has a lot to offer for the price & also a free ski shuttle if you need it.

Could not fault the hotel & will be back next time we visit bansko. 

Great family hotel you will not be disappointed 

Friendly, hospitable and responsible family staff, good breakfast with omlette, yoghurt, toasts and bakes. Transfer to the lift and sauna with jacuzzi included. The rooms is cozy and quite clean, some of them with good montain view.

Excellent value-for-money family hotel

I cannot praise the staff enough for their running of the Elida. We were made to feel very welcome and the atmosphere is one of home-from-home. This gem of a hotel really is wonderful. Away from the hustle of the main streets, it sits in a quiet area of town about 10 minutes walk from the action. 
We stayed as a group of 10 skiers for a week. From the outset, the staff at Elida were brilliant. Our initial email enquiries were dealt with quickly and satisfactorily.
On arrival, we were met by the family; George, Maria and Elina. We were efficiently checked in, shown our rooms and given all the information we needed for our stay.
Patriarch George kept us entertained and treated us like old friends during the whole week. Along with his daughter Elina, he booked our taxis and minibuses up the mountain (I'll talk about the gondola up the mountain later). They advised us on the best places to eat and drink and gave us directions when we needed them (every time!).
The rooms are spacious (over 5 floors, with a lift), en-suite, have a TV and are clean and warm. Rooms were cleaned every two days.
In reception is a large soft seating area for relaxation and meeting up before going out.
The ample breakfast is available from 8-10am. It is cold European buffet style with warm boiled eggs or omelette, cereals, yoghurt, fruit and fruit juices. Coffee is on tap from a machine.
If you stay at the Elida, be sure to take advantage of the wonderful jacuzzi and sauna - perfect for a wind-down after a day on the slopes.
All rooms are non-smoking, but there are several smoking areas available.
Now to the gondola. Be aware that queues can be very long. Very long. It is not an exaggeration to say you may wait 2 or more hours to get onto the gondola. The queue for the ski-pass minibus is not much better. You can get a taxi from the same area, and I would opt for this if you can see the queue outside the gondola station (it's another 20 minutes inside). The gondola and taxis take aorund 20 minutes to get to the top. Mid-station is just over half that, but pistes are limited and you must ski a red to get the chair lift back. It is the one aspect of Bansko skiing that is very disappointing. Staff do nothing to ease the problem - they could create a singles lane to make sure lifts are full, but often a single person can be seen on a five seat lift. That said; avoid early February and the problem isn't bad enough to cause frustration. The problem has not stopped me skiing annually in Bansko for 8 years.
I would highly recommend the Elida for families, singles, couples and small groups. It is unfair to call the Elida a budget hotel - it is very good value for money, but budget implies less than great facilities and the Elida does not fall into that category.
