We were presently surprised as a family group of 7 how much space we had in the apartment. It was plenty for us, basic but did the job as we were out all day. Fresh towels were given every day. The kitchenette is basic if your planning on doing any self catering. But we did have a washing machine which was helpful. 

We enjoyed the pool and spa area after a long day skiing. 

The negatives were the lobby bar was closed and there was no shuttle to the gondola. This may have been as it was coming to the end of the season. Its  short walk to the gondola though if you take the track to the left of the hotel. Sign posted to supermarket. Luckily we were able to leave our skis and poles at the gondola, so only had to carry our boots. 

We were half board, but wouldn't bother again. Breakfast was sufferable but like warm at best. We were putting our breakfast in the microwave to heat it up. We tried dinner twice they gave you a choice to choose from in the morning. Starter, main, side and dessert all came oit on separate plates and at the same time. Again it was cold.

Good overall, food not good

We honestly loved this aparthotel and would very happily return. Our 1 bedroom apartment was very spacious, warm and well equipped (2 adults and 1 teen).  Comfy beds. Bathroom had plenty of hot water and a heated towel rail. Nice soft towels, ask for extra if needed. The cleaner came every day of our 5 nights. We hired robes from reception for 10lev to wear to the spa. Pool table is 5lev per game. We really liked the steam room and sauna, maybe a jacuzzi could be added in future? We were up and first into breakfast at 7:30 on the dot as we got the 8:00 shuttle to the gondola every day, although you can easily walk it. We all thought the food was great! Very European and something for everyone. Toast, bread, cereal, fruit, cheese, meat, salad, hot sausage, eggs (boiled and scrambled), eggy bread, beignets, pastries, cakes, biscuits and plenty of coffee and juices. Maybe the hotel could start breakfast a tiny bit earlier e.g. 7:00 or 7:15 during holiday periods as it would make all the difference in getting in the gondola queue by 8:00? We didn't try the evening meal but it cost 22lev adults and 11 lev kids. Shout out to Costa on reception who really went the extra mile printing out our boarding passes for our return flight, despite being really busy, he should get a bonus for his helpfulness!

Great hotel, would happily return!

Great value hotel, with nice additional facilities and friendly staff.

Stayed with family in a 2 bedroom apartment, well appointed with TV and kitchenette, 1 shower bathroom and 1 en-suite with a corner bath. Listing says sofa bed in living room but we didn’t have this but 2, 2 person sofas. Perfectly sufficient for us as son is only 9 so slept here instead of sharing with his sister.

We’d say the apartment was basic but comfortable.

The apart hotel has a reception area with a bar and pool table. 

The on-site restaurant offers a good buffet breakfast with hot and cold options which vary each day. Nice coffee machine and juices on offer.

We had half board and evening meal was buffet with good hot and cold options which again varied each day. Meat offered was either pork or chicken with various cold meats and salads too.

Outside there are nicely maintained gardens and a small children’s park.

They also have a swimming pool, which is a nice touch but does need refurbishment. Tiles are loose on the pools floor and daughter cut her foot.
Downstairs they have a nice spa facility offering saunas, steam room, salt therapy and a fab cold water pool.
They also have a good offering of spa treatments available at good prices.

It is a short 5 minute walk to the gondola station, but they offer a free mini bus shuttle in the morning and afternoon.

The whole place is of good 3 star property but could do with some refurbishment.

Cozy, calm, unpretentious at an acceptable average price, 😍good and clean place to relax and recover 💎Spa center is very good and the masseuse is very good! recreation and tourism, fresh and well prepared 🍹 food with responsive 😇 staff and very good service 🍀  highly recommend this place!

Very nice place!!!

Basic hotel near the gondola in Bansko. The rooms are clean with basic kitchen equipment. The hotel bar is great and the staff here are very friendly. Swimming pool and area also clean and tidy. The restaurant wasn’t ideal for children. The choice of food was very limited and luke warm at best. The breakfast choice was better (toast/cereal etc). The hotel offers ski hire and lessons although we didn’t use this service. Our bin was changed daily and towels changed each 3 days but no other cleaning. Pros - close to gondola (we walked each day) there is also a shuttle bus to the gondola if required, fine as a base to sleep and shower. 
Cons - food, some not-so-welcoming staff.

Studio room

The apartment was beautiful with very good daily service and regular change of towels. Pool was lovely, though pool attendant not always present. The bar manager couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful - he is the best thing about this place. On the downside, the food was always tepid and therefore diffucult to eat (9 year old son couldn't cope with cold rice and chicken for evening meal), the reception staff were not always helpful - it depended on who you asked as to whether or not you could be helped. On a wider perspective, we came during the UK half term and our observation is that the whole resort is ill equipped to cope with the number of skiers. Waiting for 2 hours or more for the Gondola to get up the mountain in the morning is just not good enough. Would not put my child through this again and will not be returning. Yes, it's cheap, but now we know why!

Mixed review. Good and bad

We were pleasently surprised with our apartment when we arrived it was very spacious and very clean. 

As we arrived late at night I had only my card no cash. Went to the lobby bar that only takes cash but the bar man was absolutley fantastic and offered me 2 bottles of water and I could drop the cash back the next day after I had been to the ATM. I made sure to gice hik a good tip after this. He was really the only member of staff that engaged with us during the whole stay apart from another security guard who was a nice guy too. The rest just kept their heads down and wouldn't even make eye contact.

We made good use of the shuttle bus to and from the gondola each morning and evening.

When exiting the hotel if you take the dirt track to the left it will take you alot less time to get to the bars and restaurants around the gondola. There is a sign pointing to a supermarket so you cannot miss this track.

Now the bad.. After skiing on our 2nd day we decided to use the swimming pool. On arrival to the spa we were met with 4 members of staff who were advertising the massages etc. When we said we only wanted to use the pool you would have thought we had just told them we had coronavirus. The male pointed to the changing rooms so we went in. When in I noticed that you needed a key for the locker and asked another guy there how he got his key and he advised going out to the staff I had just spoken to. I went out and asked for a key to be told by a very rude male "Im busy". So busy that he turned away and sat on his seat chatting to the other staff.  This was enough for me so decided against even going into the pool so I waited for my wife to come out then went back to our room.

This experience wont stop me coming back to the hotel itself but I have seen other reviews mentioning how rude the staff are so I would hope that it would be addressed.

Some good some great some bad

I was a bit sceptical before arriving after reading some of the reviews. We usually go 4 star or higher so also knew we had to manage our expectations. On arrival late at night, we were shown to our room where we had to go outside and carry our cases up some outside steps (not ideal). There was a lift in the building to our 4th floor, however this wouldn't fit all our luggage and us in ! 
We were pleasantly surprised when we reached our room. Very spacious and exactly what we needed and more. Our double room was upstairs with our own bathroom and the kids shared a room downstairs that has a bathroom adjacent too. 
There's very little in the way of extras , which I guess why it was so cheap. Just a few pots, pans and cutlery. There's 2 hob rings and a microwave and fridge (with a small freezer section). No hairdryer and just one fairly small towel each. Still, we didn't find any of this a problem. I asked the maid for extra pillows which she happily obliged. 
The hotel itself has a small pool and spa. I had an amazing massage here for just 40lev (around £20). It was the best massage I'd ever had and sorted my aches and pains out from learning to ski! 
The staff spoke basic English and to be honest not that friendly but again not a problem really. We had what we needed. 
There's a shuttle bus free to the gondala and back. The times are on reception on a card. It's not a long walk at all to the gondola but saves your back having to carry all your ski equipment ! 
The hotel is in a great location close to all the bars and restaurants but in a quiet location being about 10 min walk ish to the main bit. 
We recommend ginger to eat and 360 bar for cheap drinks (2 beers for 5 Lev !!) 
If it was cheap enough, we would definitely stay here again.

Good value for money, pleasantly surprised.

I’d give this a 3 star for the following reasons:

The apartments are basic, clean but not very well equipped. We didn’t even have bowls for our breakfast and when we asked reception they couldn’t be bothered to accommodate us! Also make note that towels are only changed every 3 days and not daily. Beds are very comfy, which isn’t the case in all hotels in this resort. Staff could be a lot more welcoming and helpful. 

The spa is ok but as others have noted, looks a bit tired. Needs a good clean. 

The bus up to gondola leaves the apartments every half hour and we found it very useful. 

The apartments are quite central and you’ve got some great places to eat and pubs near. 

Would I return? Yes, if I was on a budget.  If your budget allows,  I would book the Strazhite or Lion. You only get what you pay for at the end of the day. 

Only get what you pay for! 

Great Hotel in an ideal location very central well 10 min walk 
Rooms are well equipped the only down side to the hotel is the Staff management very rude the Bar staff on the other hand are exceptionally friendly. Pool and spa great after a day Skiing
